I think one really important thing to know about this place is that it is an OUTLET not a typical thrift store. This makes a really big difference because most of the week everything is mixed together. This place is only for the avid thrifters and frugal minded. Every time that I've been I've spent multiple hours digging through on a treasure hunt. There are a lot of really amazing items, if you want to put in the work to find them!
Thursdays ($2.00 day) the store is somewhat organized by type (not size) because this is their restock day and start of the week. Each day the clothing gets progressively moved into one corner as racks begin to empty. By Tuesday (50¢ day) (if not earlier) everything is mixed together and you'll have to go through it all to find awesome items, but they're there! Sometimes you'll find something that needs to have a zipper replaced or a little stitching to get it back in tip top shape.
The customers here are... Interesting. I found that people on Tuesday (50¢ day) were nicer than people on Wednesday (25¢ day). Generally I've not had much of an issue as long as I am nice to everyone else. Everyone is there for the same reason, so there's no need to be pushing everyone around. The employees are there to do their job, so don't expect them to start chatting with you or helping you unless you go out of your way to talk to them.
When you're ready to check out make sure to remove all your hangers before getting in line! When I'm shopping, if I'm not sure about keeping something I'll normally keep the hanger until I decide then remove them all at once just before heading to the checkout area. Checking out goes very quick because everything is the same price. They just have you put everything on the counter and they count it into piles to bag. I have brought my own bags which they normally let me use, but if I have a particularly large load then they prefer to use their own bags because they are larger.
The last 2 times I went, this past Tuesday and Wednesday, I spent a total of $54.66 and I bought 159 items! All that to be said, the deals are great if you're willing to put in...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this thrift for years often multiple times a week. There is a little bit of something for everyone and I’ve never really had a problem with the employees or any of the business operations. Last time I was there I was doing my regular thing going about my buisness and one of the employees came up and started being loud and aggressive towards me. I was taken back oh she also was speaking in Spanish I pulled up my google translate and of course it wasn’t working. I was flustered and honestly a little bit scared because this woman was full blown yelling at me. She called over another employee who then started speaking in Spanish quickly to me as well…. I called one of my best friends she came to the rescue as her wifes first language is Spanish. I handed the phone to the woman who was being erratic towards me so I could get the message relayed to me properly. I was told from my friend she was saying “you keep the clothes on the racks when you are done” my friend said she is annoyed with you and I’m sure chose to left out some of the other things the lady was saying to tell me . I said yes and gave her a thumbs up and walked away just shocked and confused. I would never and have never made a mess anytime I’ve ever gone to this thrift store and if anything pick up as I go along!! I haven’t gone back since. It seems so odd to me? I’ve sat around and tried to understand where she was coming from.. the only thing I can come up with is I usually go at the beginning of the week on Thursday or Friday this time I was there on a Monday so maybe she is burnt out from the work week? Regardless it was completely inappropriate and hurtful. That isn’t a way to talk to anyone let alone a regular customer, it was/ is extremely...
Read moreI enjoy shopping at this thrift store and have made some great finds here. I’ve never had any negative interactions from the staff. I give it a 4 star because there are no bathrooms, no changing rooms, and only clothing.
You really have to set your expectations before visiting. If you do you can have a great time. It’s also not a quick trip unless you have certain colours/fabrics/styles in mind and browse fast. Give yourself time. If you don’t know what you’re in for then it can be a big disappointment. This is not your typical thrift store. The closest comparison I can make is Goodwill outlet (if you know, you know). Like Goodwill outlet there are no changing rooms. Come dressed to try clothes on over what you are wearing. This is only clothes and shoes. But like Goodwill outlet the store turnover is fairly fast. Every week on Wednesday they completely change the items on the floor so if you go back each week you’ll have a totally different selection. This is part of the reason for the lack of organization. At the beginning of the new stock on Thursday it is more organized by item type and womens, kids, mens but gradually becomes more chaotic. If you like wonderful organization, this isnt your type of thrifting. As that weeks clothing gets bought, the floor size is reduced until the turnover on Weds. Prices go down each day until they restock. Most expensive prices are around $2 an item. You really can’t loose. If you plan on buying a huge bunch of stuff, plan ahead and bring some reusable bags. They just have cheap plastic bags that arent the best for holding...
