Lots of potential, but some small details lacking, hopefully they still plan on getting them worked out. I know they very recently opened.
We visited on Saturday (9/24) at approx. 6:30pm. Waitress asked us what we wanted to drink & unfortunately, since there's no drink menu, we had her name off all the alcoholic drink options. Margarita sounded good, I asked for a frozen one. She came back and said the margarita machine had JUST been turned on and it would be a while before margaritas would be ready. They opened at 11 on Saturday, I think, and the margarita machine is not on yet, at 6pm?!? That was the 1st problem.
Ok, no biggie went with a Shiner Bock. She told me they don't carry Shiner, had to settle for a Mich. Ultra. 2nd problem.
We ordered an appetizer, went with the stuffed jalapenos. Maybe I'm the odd one but, usually stuffed jalapenos I've had come with some kind of dipping sauce. These did not, we had to ask for ranch. 3rd problem
I ordered a muchacho burger, my wife the muchacho fries. 1st thing we noticed was, we had to ask for ketchup, salt & black pepper. Out waitress informed us THEY DON'T HAVE BLACK PEPPER, not even the little paper packet ones you get with takeout food!! WHAT?! 4th problem
Finally, we ask for the check and noticed there's a "service fee" on the check. We all about it and the waitress says she's not sure what that is, she'll go ask. Apparently it's the fee charged if you use credit card. Most restaurants pay these fees themselves, but here I guess we are each responsible for our own credit card fees. 5th and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOMG!!! I do not understand how such a nice, comfortable and relaxing restaurant from first sight can be a place that you just canāt wait to pay your tab and run!!! There is so much wrong at this establishment that I hope they can figure out how to fix issues before the unemployment in Texas rises. Iām not going to bore you with all the disappointments we encountered on our first, and Iām sure our last, visit but I will list a few. Iām an oyster lover and I totally crave them weekly. That is until we had some here. For $38.00 a dozen I couldnāt wait to have these scrumptious babies in my mouth ( so I thought š). My weekly cravings have left me. These had such little freshness flavor that I feel like they order them opened and shelled and were left with a bland seafood smelling object. Totally the worst oysters in DFW. Oh, by the way the poor girl trying to help you, disguised as a waitress ( bless her soul, I hope she gets proper training) just did not understand anything you wanted. We ordered salsa and got guacamole. She served the food with no plates or silverware. You had to flag her down for a drink refill. I could go on but not enough time in my day. I will say all the good we tried had the same results as far as taste. We did leave the poor girl a $20 tip because all these issues fall on the owners and not the waitress trying to earn a living. I hope everyone that encounters poor results on their night out will look at this type of situation the same. Tip you servers for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I usually take our 4 kids here for Tuesday wing special. So I'd say we're regulars. This Tuesday we decided to have a "date night" we arrive and some friends of ours isare there. We say hello and have a seat at our OWN table. We eat ask for our check and there is a gratuity charge for 5 or more guests.I go to ask the Manager why I was being charged a gratuity if it was just my husband and I.( Not about tipping we always tip,it's the principle that we were not with this group)She rolled her eyes at me and stated the waitress said you were with that group of people. (Mind you when we showed up they had been served and done eating). I explained I knew them but we were not with them we had our own table. She again rolled her eyes at me and stated " It didn't matter if I showed up after if I knew them I would be charged gratuity bc it was the waitress right to charge it even though I wasn't with or sat with them. If you're from Northside/River Oaks area you are bound to run into someone. And it's crazy how disrespectful this manager was to me. Also my Spanish isn't the best waitress or manager didn't speak English and looked at me like I was the one wrong for not speaking Spanish well. Very disappointed bc like I stated we are...
