Our 2nd time staying here at Solitude Resort. This time we chose the Powderhorn Lodge. So glad we did. Our room/building was in a perfect location within the Resort Village. The layout of the room was awesome, as it had a kitchen, bunk beds, private bedroom, large bathroom and a fireplace! We walked to all the many restaurants, shops and amenities. Renting our snowshoes and skis was a breeze, as the rental and ticket office for both ski and shoes were within feet of our building. So, so helpful. And there's that perfect shuttle system the resort uses, that drives you back and forth all day long to the different ski runs and lodges. Logistics was a breeze, and our 5 yr old granddaughter took a lesson on day 1 and skied on her own day 2. We received 20% off our room, lesson, and lift ticket as well. It was a perfect trip! Thank you Solitude Resort!

Condos are small with inadequate ventilation and construction noise. The room got to 80 degrees and we were unable to cool it down. With no AC and no central fan, all we could do was open the windows 4" and prop the balcony door open. It was in the 60's outside, but our room never dropped below 75 until 7am. So we all slept terribly. And construction right out our door started at 8am. The constant beeping of construction vehicles backing up got old fast. We never knew if we could enter via the front doors or if they would be roped off because of construction. Sitting on the balcony wasn't fun as the stench of diesel exhaust and hot asphalt permeated the air.

My friend remarked, there was little solitude...

Very disappointing experience staying here. If the guidelines posted throughout the property were followed it would be perfect. We stayed in a unit facing the mountain, which also faces the hot tub. Late night parties went on, I called front desk and was given a number for security which I called but no one answered. What if it was a real emergency? Meanwhile there is a large group in the hot tub playing loud music, not adhering to Covid-19 guidelines and being disruptive. Additionally, the halls are littered with ski and snowboard equipment. It’s really a shame because the property is in a spectacular location and has...
