The Indian Punch Bowl is... An oddity. It's a circular hollow in a rock. There is no real explanation of what it was for, who made it, how they made it, or why. Even the sign says "What do you think it was for?"... as if they are hoping YOU might know. It is absolutely NOT worth visiting on its own. But... Read moreThis thing is very cool. I wonder what it was used for.... it's right by the river in Downtown Fredericksburg. It overlooks some water, I think it could have been a bird bath. There isn't much to look at, just a big piece of stone from like way back that has a semi circle carved into the base. Human sacrifice? Sweet berry juice container? Bird Bath? Read moreThis place is really breathtaking in the fall. The path is great for walking, and any other cardio exercise a person wishes to do. Also, the grass cut always and kept at a decent height.
