The Indian Punch Bowl is... An oddity. It's a circular hollow in a rock. There is no real explanation of what it was for, who made it, how they made it, or why. Even the sign says "What do you think it was for?"... as if they are hoping YOU might know. It is absolutely NOT worth visiting on its own. But... It's on the Rappahannock Heritage Trail, west of the Old Mill Park. It's worth p stopping for a look, if you happen to be in the area anyway. The river is just north of it, and it's a beautiful place to walk,...

This thing is very cool. I wonder what it was used for.... it's right by the river in Downtown Fredericksburg. It overlooks some water, I think it could have been a bird bath. There isn't much to look at, just a big piece of stone from like way back that has a semi circle carved into the base. Human sacrifice? Sweet berry juice container? Bird Bath? It's anyone's guess, and that's what makes this spot so alluring. Nice spot on the river and worth a check out if you're on the walk/bike trail that...

This place is really breathtaking in the fall. The path is great for walking, and any other cardio exercise a person wishes to do. Also, the grass cut always and kept at a decent height. Unfortunately, my only complaint is ppl not cleaning up after their dog. Nice place to have a picnic, but you must be careful where you walk. Besides that, I find the path nice... oh yeah, sometimes, you will notice dog dropping on the...

I’m rating this night because it’s a historical place. That being said, it needs work. The only sign is a strange one asking questions but not giving any history. The site needs to be be cleared of weeds and garage as well. Me and my kids thought it was really cool to see. I would recommend going to the Patawomeck museum as part of your trip as well.

This is a nice stop along the River path. It's good to get a reminder of our history here in Fredericksburg; specifically how white people took this land from native people such as the Manahoac and the Powhatan. It's a interesting little piece of the river's history.

We've visited here many times. It's a great place to look upstream at the river and look at the scenery, sky, and nature's beauty. Today, we married here. Weddings By Brian, Brian Thompson is a great officiant and planner of marriage ceremonies.
