I have been coming to this park since I was born. Very historic and I have spent many years creating fond memories from fishing with the family, to watching the famous Fredericksburg fireworks display which I never miss. The park is clean and have adequate parking as well as pavilions to have a picnic or family gatherings. The park is dog friendly and very spacious for running,playing,sports ect. There is a nice play area for the children and is always kept very clean. The ground keepers always wave and are very friendly. There is the walking path starting at the park that has become the local residents favorite past time. The park is parallel to the river with exceptional views. Historic sliding rock still remains, and if your a local you know the history behind it. Great park and I recommend it to any tourist or locals to come experience part of history.
