This is such an incredible park near to the Fredricksberg city. A few improvement to the park administration authorities and I wish I could deliver this message to the administrators of this park. I was here for an hour and witnessed a few children’s minor injuries. One felt down from the swing and to be honest, there was no safety for children above the ground; the ground's surface was changed to ditches without covering wood or foam. At another moment, I saw a baby’s head hit the voice connecter and start slightly bleeding, which should never happen if safety was accounted for correctly; the steps are way higher than they should be required for children to be bonnet, not even easy for elders to climb.

This is definitely one of the best parks in Fredericksburg! Nice big playground for the kids, huge fields for the kids to run in, plenty of space to fly kites. The Rappahannock River runs alongside it, providing excellent water access for fishing, swimming, inner tubing, canoeing, kayaking, rocking hopping, or just wading. There are plenty of trails to go one a little hike through the woods, or alongside the river. Above the park there are bike trails that also go along the river. It's the perfect place to take your family on the weekend, or to just get some R&R alone time. Endless opportunities for a fun time.

We love the Old Mill Park. Right on the Rappahannock River, and the Rappahannock Heritage Trail goes right along it. Nice kids playground, restroom facilities, and pavilions available, and even a small kayak/canoe ramp. Also right down river from Virgina Outdoor Center, where you can rent tubes or boats and ride down the river to the park. VOC picks up at the park. It's also just across the river from the John Lee Pratt park in Stafford.

I have been coming to this park since I was born. Very historic and I have spent many years creating fond memories from fishing with the family, to watching the famous Fredericksburg fireworks display which I never miss. The park is clean and have adequate parking as well as pavilions to have a picnic or family gatherings. The park is dog friendly and very spacious for running, playing, sports ect. There is a nice play area for the children and is always kept very clean. The ground keepers always wave and are very friendly. There is the walking path starting at the park that has become the local residents favorite past time. The park is parallel to the river with exceptional views. Historic sliding rock still remains, and if your a local you know the history behind it. Great park and I recommend it to any tourist or locals to come experience...
