This is a very old run down towne place diner with regular customers from years past. The staff know there names and reoccurring orders. It's clean and the staff are more attentive to the regulars than new customers. The menu is extensive. Our salads were fine. The wife's chopped sirloin was very tough and the mashed potatoes were instant potatoes. My liver and onions was also very tough. The gravy and onions for both was ok but lacked seasoning. The rolls were fresh and warm but served with frozen butter. Were 20+ year locals but won't be going back. Better options close by. *Note this review was completed without using ridiculous un-discriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do yourself a favor, trust me, flavorful, or kids emojis etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No disrespect to the employees, but no one cares about the waiter/waitress/clerk names, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. We don't care about your allergies, vibes, how "chill" you feel, or the need for gluten free food. **If you see a Google review posted with just stars & no text, report it via the 3 dot selection adjacent to the review. If the text in the review doesn't describe the food/service report it. This cleans up Google reviews and removes the slugs just trying to get reviewer points by marking a star or "paid" reviewers. Process: Select - Report review. Select- Not helpful at the bottom of the drop down menu. If the review doesn’t help people decide whether to utilize this business or go to this place it's worthless.

We stopped by Twenty Four Hundred Diner for a late breakfast and it was unbelievable. They do have a smaller seating area so take a number if you have to because the food and atmosphere is more than worth the wait. Luckily there were two booths open when we arrived. I was STARVING so I ordered the house special breakfast which consisted of a 10 ounce New York Strip Steak, three eggs, home fries, and toast. I don't know what to rave about first, the steak was hand cut by the chef and cooked to medium rare perfection. The home fries were the closest representation of a Jersey to Boston diner than I have found in this area. The meal brought an actual tear to my eye, it certainly could have fed to our more (I did not share). My date had the Country Ham, egg and home fries platter. She said it was awesome and would order it again. We will definitely return

I’ve grew up eating at the 2400 Diner. It was always my mom’s go to for a quick breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Not only is the family feel and nostalgia amazing… but the food is full of comfort. I ordered the grilled cheese today. Yes a grilled cheese! But to be honest I’m very particular about my grilled cheese sandwhiches and it’s my FAVORITE. I’ve carried on the tradition and this is now my son’s favorite as well. My Mom ordered the scrapple with 2 eggs and the breakfast special which was the apple and caramel french toast. The french toast was pretty soggy from the caramel sauce but it still had great flavor. The service is always amazing… if you are looking for affordable, quick, and comforting, I 10/10 recommend.

Today I took my daughter to breakfast and we always have loved the smaller older restaurants so we found this place thinking we would have a good experience like we have in other “New” places we try but instead it was the worst experience either one of us have ever had looking at my baby and seeing the confusion in her face broke my heart and as bad as I wanted to act out I did not because we are better than the crap these people harbor on the inside immediately when we walked into the door everyone inside just stopped and looked at us rolled their eyes and just kept staring now I am caucasian but I have braids in and my daisy is mixed caucasian and African American I immediately started talking to my daughter about random things hoping she was not feeling what I was and I was not going to leave to make them more comfortable if anything I wanted to make every single one of them feel how they where making us feel so than quickly greeted by a waitress asking how many and where we like to set I looked around seen two booths clean and open so I said a booth she quickly responded and said well can y’all step outside while I get situated um excuse me I even stood there for a minute like what did she just say and I looked around seeing the clean booths and was like okay okay I see and we both walked out and stood there for a moment trying to process what was going on I still can’t believe what happened and how it went down I’ve never in my life been so disturbed we decided to leave thankfully Masion Dixon was right down the street and we had a amazing breakfast and we talked about what occurred and I honestly pray that every single one of you have to Experience something that rips apart your soul the way this establishment did mine today absolutely...

I really wanted to like this place. They have good reviews and so I expected good food. The service was fantastic. I never wanted for attention and everything was refilled in a timely manner. I got the chop steak with grilled onions and gravy with green beans and a baked potato for the sides. A salad with ranch. The salad was well done, plenty of vegetables and a good amount. When the rest of the food arrived, the green beans were very overcooked and unseasoned. The chop steak was well done and tasted okay, but it wasn't seasoned. Baked potato was cooked perfectly, with plenty of butter.

Unfortunately the sour cream that was served to me with the baked potato was rancid. When I opened the container I smelled it immediately and then I realized that there was a light coating of white mold on the top. I pointed it out to the waitress who apologized and mentioned that she wasn't sure if they had any more, she disappeared and came back with another condiment cup of sour cream. This one smelled fine, but it was warm and it didn't really taste right. I ended up not eating it and had a hard time finishing my food after that.

I'm not sure if I will return, but I understand that things happen and there might be a problem with the cooler. But I cannot stress how important it is to keep on top of things like that - or someone could...
