St. Clair Brooks Memorial Park — Attraction in Fredericksburg

This park is wonderful. It has a full court basketball and tennis area. They built skateboard park which I believe is wonderful for the kids as well as the young at heart. There are not many places in the area to skate, and I think the tax dollars were well spent on building the skate section. The park has a wonderful paved walking trial that also connects to the new famous trail that circles Fredericksburg and surrounding counties. The park also has a football field as well as soccer goals. I used to play pee wee football there as a kid and it remains the same to this day. There are 2 locations for restrooms and are more than adequate for wheelchair accessible ilty. They have a fenced in playground for the children and is well maintained and serviced for safety. Closet skate park to our house in south Spotsy so we went to take our kids and their free skates. A nice playground at the entrance followed by a basketball court across from soccer fields. At the end was the skate park where there is shade, picnic tables, a water spicket and from my understanding trails. We hung out on a beautiful fall late afternoon before school let out and shared the park with other skater. After 4 the kids came to run on the pavement and up the walls, not making it accessible to skate. Park has something for everyone, but be courteous and keep the kids from running on the skate...

My kids and I visit this park often. It has a nice long trail, with 2 additional parks as you walk. There's even a stage available! My kids usual have their own private show with dancing and music, as we take a food and play break by the park and benches. Our dog loves it too! Tons of people are riding theirs bikes and walking their dogs. There's fields available too for football or soccer. Basketball hoops and even a skating area. There's tons to do.
