It was a horrid experience first I walked in music so loud you almost had to yell and the guy asks me...How can I help you? I reply... " I'm looking for oxtails" this person then says to me "No I don't think you want that it's too expensive for you it's $10.99 per pound." I said ok while arriving in front of the ox tails the other person then says "you'll have to buy 3 packs" the firstimbecile then puts 3 packages on the scale and says 114$...because I live alone that would be preposterous to do so I said "well I'll take two I don't need 3 packs" he then says what else you want I said bacon I didn't even get to tell him the amount he just assumed I wanted 1 pound it ended up 1 and half shop I said fine after patting I informed him... " this was my first and last time coming to the store he then asked "why?" I replied "their customer service skills not up to par." Not only that the bacon was extra salty and cheap quality I spent 90$ on 3 items and that's his behavior... I value every cent I earn and they will never get another nickel from me I suggest anyone who appreciates themself find another meat...
Read morePrices are great and the quality of the meat is better than stores BUT they have one short employee there (NOT Kenny) who may or may not be a manager and he should NOT be working around the public in any capacity. He has horrible customer service and is beyond rude, condescending and his demeanor and the way he speaks to customers creates a hostile atmosphere inside the store. He acts like a thug if you ask a question about the meat (For example: Is that meat pre-cut?) I’m a customer and I’m allowed to ask questions.
I hope he doesn’t speak to elderly customers the way he spoke and speaks to me every time I’m in there. I will be calling in to further elaborate on this review and if I’m ever in there again and he is aligned to wait on me I will wait for another employee to help me. EVERY other employee at Renna’s except for the one I’m speaking of, is kind, friendly and some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in Fresno (Nick and Ryan are amazing!)
The short angry employee needs to go or just stick to dismantling and chopping up...
Read moreI bought $150 of New York steaks. Once I got home and looked at the 15 steaks I realized the cut thickness was not consistent. Some were almost 1.5 inches, some an inch. Cooking two of them today on my cast iron skillet I had one that cooked to medium rare and the other was still raw inside. And it's a good, aged skillet. The raw one was definitely a thicker cut. But consistency is key from a butcher. I get better than that from Vallarta. Good meat (though the medium rare one was already a bit chewy). But the quality has gone done a bit. I still recommend them for quality, though...
