Very nice park, location was cool but the fact that only 1 entrance and exit is scary. While we were there as a family with very small children, a dramatic mess was taking place right by the entrance/exit. Because we know how quickly things could escalate, we had not choice but to hurry, gather our children and make our way around the mess and get to our cars before something bad happened... but that was because we were on the alert. I don't know if the situation got worse but in a society where folks are angry and disrespectful, anything can happen and it would be so much better to have another option to exit if we needed to. It wouldn't be easy to jump a fence with little children! Besides that, the park was clean and there were lot's of fun things to do along with an attendant to check games out from such as chess pieces for the table with the painted on chess board. The kids absolutely loved the playgrounds and had a blast climbing and running around. I was really impressed with how clean the park was, especially the restrooms—it's always a relief when you don't have to worry about that. Plus, the convenience of having a Walmart right nearby is perfect. We were able to grab some last-minute snacks and drinks without having to go far at all. This is a great, family-friendly park that manages to feel special and convenient at the same time. We'll definitely be...

The park is at Helm and Huntington.
Only last year there was some random shooting over a dispute involving men arguing.
People visiting the park from events have gotten into fights with residents over parking on thier grass since it's county there are no curbs on Helm side, so visitors were not respecting residents. The homeless get chased out near the gated pond area not available to the public. It's more like a reservoir. Homeless normally get in through the locjed gates at night and the city has to...
