This meat market has changed drastically since these reviews. They do have a 5 for 5 deal for $19.99 on almost all of their meats, frozen foods such as shrimp and breakfast items. And it was buy $100 and get 4lbs. of chicken legs for free from the butcher counter. I went last month and spent over $200 and I was very impressed with the meat quantity in the meat packages and it's selection of meats to choose from. I did get my moneys worth and then some. I had also seen the advertisement on tiktok so I drove 30 minutes to check them out and was not disappointed. I decided to go back 2 days ago and unfortunately I was very disappointed. They no longer do the 4lbs. free chicken. They have no sign up saying they've discontinued that. You will only find out after you have checked out in which the cashiers thought that it was very funny. The quantity in the meat packages have been drastically reduced down. For example: a pack of wingettes would be a full pack with the 5 for 5 deal. Now they only put 6-7 pieces in the packs. So doing the math you're getting only 3 wings per pack and for the deal it is 15 wings for $20. You can get that cheaper at Walmart. And the steaks and pork chops were poorly sliced and was very paper thin sliced. They were thinner than a thin sliced cut in the grocery store. So for 1 steak in a pack x5 is 5 very thin sliced for $20. If you put those steaks on top of each other it will be 1 3/4 cut steak for $20. Food Lion has them on sale and they are not thin. They didn't have half of the meat selection that they had the last time and I didn't see them keeping the meat section stocked like my other visit. It stayed full but this time they didn't do that. I feel that these changes were made after it went viral on tiktok and they got overwhelmed with customers taking advantage of their meat deals and giving away the free chicken. What do they expect offering such a deal like that. That will attract a lot of customers. Got my attention. So you are no longer getting a deal. I won't be going back. It's not worth it. The free chicken if spend $100 is gone and the meat portions in the packages are dramatically reduced and no decent cuts on pork chops and steaks. So do your calculation before you purchase. Who knows it might go back to the deals if the overwhelming traffic of customers will die down; then maybe they'll go back to the better meat cuts, increase quantity in meat packages and free chicken. But right now it's not a deal guys. And again they will only tell you about the free chicken deal is no longer available after you've asked and have checked out. They have your $100 in which quantity size wasn't worth $100. But you purchased enough to get the chicken deal just to be turned down and laughed at. Right now find another spot that's very well worth it because Fuquay Varina Meat Market...

I actually saw a video post from Tiktok, about Fuquay Varina Meat Market. The young lady showed how affordable the meats were compared to where my husband and I would usually shop in Harnett County. They open up at 8:00 a.m. in the morning and they are located off of East/West Vance Street depending where you are coming from in Fuquay-Varina. The neighboring counties are:Wake/Johnston/Harnett/Lee. They are a 25-30 minute drive away from Lillington where I live. They do have parking available on the side street in front of the store and they do have a ramp to go up and down if you're in a wheelchair.Also,they have a separate parking lot behind the building FYI. My husband and I went there between 8-9 a.m. when hardly anyone was there and I found that,they had 5 items mixed pack of meats for $19.99 and the meats varied from pork chops,rib eyes, chicken(legs,leg quarters,thighs) chicken livers,gizzards, chicken feet. They also have breakfast meats 5 items mixed for $19.99 and that included bacon, sausage links,round sausage,and deli meat(off brand.) The store was very clean,the staff was friendly,and they're affordable. THEY ACCEPT EBT!!!If you spend over $100.00 you receive a lb of chicken legs for free. I usually shop at Carlie C's to get my meat plans, but I now I found somewhere...

Buy a bunch of Celantro! It's a bush! The produce beats any store in town in quality and cost. And the Butcher will cut anything you want any way you want it! In the other stores here, the guys look like they don't even want to be there. And doing Extras cost a arm and a leg from a GROUCH/ HARRIS TEETER. And just forget asking at food LYIN.IF ever in Mexico visit a local fresh Mkt. It will blow your mind and no way your wallet! A sandwich that would feed 3 or 4 for 3.50 American. A pile of meat of your choosing 6 inches high with Oxcan cheese the same height on a 8 inch round fresh baked bun. Sure beats a 20 dollar turkey leg...
