I originally posted a few years ago that I was having trouble finding the museum open during posted hours. (I'll attribute that to post covid issues).
Update: I did go back & it was open & got a nice tour of the main building & the buildings in the grounds. I learned a lot about the local area & it's history. The ladies could not have been more accommodating! I'm planning to go back to spend more time exploring all the artifacts in the main building in more depth.

Read moreI went to the museum today and had a blast! Me (21) and the three girls I nanny (6, 9, and 12) absolutely loved it. Mrs. Simmons gave us a private tour, which they usually do when you call in advance, and she even stayed 30 minutes after closing to finish up our tour. It was so neat to learn about the history of the town, and the restored School house, post office, play house, and tobacco barn were so neat.
