i love getting their magic cookies locally.. so i decided to take my husband to their store to show him where the "magic happens" . when we got to the store it was a let down... 1st my husband had to carry up the steps our stroller with our 2 kiddos just to get in the shop ( its not handicap or stroller accessible ) then they didn't even have any magic cookies or a very large selection at all and it was just afternoon ... but the WORST PART was my 3 year old is allergic severely to gluten... and they have NOT A SINGLE GLUTEN FREE OPTION... after being open as long as this store has been and specializing in bread and some baked goods you would think the least they could offer would be a bread that's gluten free i mean its your main niche'!!!... then the cashiers response to me with lots of attitude was -- well i dont really know of any other bakery around here offering gluten free either so... well congrats you have achieved being the same as everyone ... LOL and actualy that's super false --- gluten has become a pretty common allergy and its sad to say all the stores that sell your goods by us sell gluten free options --- they just don't get them from you because apparently a bread company doesn't think it important to make bread for those who love it but cant have gluten -- my poor little guy started crying and cried till we left because the few things we got for my husband to have for breakfast the next day he couldn't eat and there was nothing i could get him -- we love your cookies and rosemary garlic bread but I don't think we will be back after the way this let down was handled -- SOME CHANGES...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe bread, cookies, and pastries were delicious. The staff was polite and courteous offering suggestions. Most of the available tables were dirty with food and drink residue on them and on the floor. Along with my cinnamon roll I had a medium tea which was full of ice which I consumed less than 1/3 while I was sitting at the table enjoying my snack. Before I left I ordered a dozen cookies to take back to work and share with my coworkers and a refill of my tea which was less than 2" from being full but i had removed some of the ice. When the cashier told me she would have to charge me for a refill I told her the cup was almost still full except where i had removed some of the ice she said she wouldn't charge me for it. When I received my bill i noticed she had charged me $189 for the refill. When i made my first order i left a $1 tip but after she charged me over $2 for 2" of tea i decided not to leave a tip. We enjoy having our own home town bakery but the prices are high, especially for 2" of tea that was mostly ice that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointed. Iāve been making a special trip to F-V every 5 or 6 days for the past several months just to get a loaf of Stick Boyās bread (and sometimes a coffee and/or treat). I knew I couldnāt get there this morning so called early and left a message asking that a loaf be held for me for pick-up later today. Iāve done this before, although I had talked with a person directly. When I got to the bakery, they had not saved a loaf and told me they hadnāt checked their messages and had sold out quickly today. Lesson learned: donāt trust that theyāll check voice mail on a timely basis. Now I have to wait a couple of days until they bake my...
