The Quinlan Visual Arts Center is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable arts organization located in Gainesville, Georgia. Founded initially as the Gainesville Arts Association in 1946, the organization has grown to the comprehensive visual arts center today providing only the best quality art education opportunities for all ages and all stages of artistic development, special events for the community, a summer art camp program for children, up to 20 fine art exhibitions featuring solo and group artists and a special Members' Exhibition each fall.

Read moreBeyond just a large space for art exhibits, The Quinlan has a very active pottery program. My wife started lessons late last year, and convinced me to enroll in January. I found the teacher (Lesther Martin) had incredible knowledge and skills and is happy to help anyone advance their skills. I soon went from no skills to a passing competency on the wheel and hand building. We enjoyed the program so much we signed up for more classes and eventually decided to become members of the pottery program so we could have more than the 2.5 hour lesson time weekly to practice our skills and create. The Exhibitions, the volunteers, the Board members, the Staff, the Georgia Art League, and workshop instructors are top notch. The Executive Director, Amanda McClure, is an excellent and very creative leader. Nationally known artists and Societies, such as the Georgia Watercolor Society and the American Society of Marine Artists have had and will have future exhibitions at this venue, because the galleries have the best lighting and wall space.
