Reitz Union North Lawn — Attraction in Gainesville

Picture a living room, but instead of furniture you have people sprawled in unnatural geometric poses with backpacks doubling as pillows. It’s simultaneously the quickest shortcut and the longest detour, because although the fastest way across campus might be to walk in a straight line over it, you will inevitably stop, sit, lay down, or be stopped by someone tabling for a club you didn’t know existed. That’s the North Lawn. It’s not exactly a park, not quite a commons, but rather a carefully cultivated slice of grass that’s somehow the perfect backdrop for both job fairs...

Attended the UF Summer Experience career fair last week on 4/2/24. Lawn is clean and well-kept. Lounge chairs and sitting areas are everywhere. Bathrooms are conveniently located inside the student center (take a right after entering the glass doors and walk past the Info Desk- there are signs for the restrooms). Good place to get a lot of foot traffic from people walking to / from class if you have an info table at...

It's a amazing place to take a walk to remember, eat food, do yoga, even sit down to do homework. I used to do group study here. The green grass always make me happy. I have attended lots of Tail gaiting, Gator nights here.
