University of Florida Bookstore — Local services in Gainesville

I went to the Bookstore in hopes to buy a Haugh basketball Jersey. I went through the jerseys and they had zero in store but they had one on the mannequin. As I’m checking out buying my other things I ask the cashier if it would be possible to buy the Haugh jersey that was on the mannequin and she said I don’t see why not let me get someone to take that off for you. She calls to the back to make sure she doesn’t have one in the back. They said yes and then asked which play and said they couldn’t give it to me. They said we can order it but can’t give it to you right now. I think the miscommunication was very annoying and they could obviously just sell it I work in retail. Then as I am apart of the alumni association I show them to get my discount and I know I can’t use it on discounted items so I asked them to put it on my other things bc they have done it before and they have done it manually. They brought manger over who was rude and not helpful. We ended up doing separate transactions which is fine because our cashier was very kind and we were taking up her time. This review is for online ordering from the University of Florida Bookstore.

I ordered a sweatshirt from them for my dad for Christmas. I chose the UF Bookstore over other retailers because I wanted to support the school. I placed my order at the end of October. When sweatshirt finally arrived, I didn't even have to unfold it all the way to notice it had a giant oil stain on the chest. Long story short, it took me two months, at least 10 phone calls, several emails, a returned package, and 3 trips to UPS to finally exchange the product. When the replacement arrived and I was wrapping it for Christmas, I noticed that the replacement's logo wasn't even centered.... At that point, I just gave it to him because I knew I was never going to receive a product in proper condition. Poor customer service, incompetent employees, and no great system for online orders/returns/exchanges. From my experience, they do NOT check online orders before shipping to ensure quality of products shipped. Do not recommend. I will not order from them again...

Besides books and school supply items one would expect to find in a university bookstore, UF Bookstore has the biggest selection of Gator merchandise that I have found under one roof, and there is something for everyone...current students, graduates, alumni, parents and grandparents, as well as future Gators. The store has clothes ranging from standard T-shirts and sweatshirts to high-end brand name UF clothing. They also have hats, flip-flops, and sneakers, not to mention robes and pajamas.
