Very nice waterpark. Water slides for adults and small children. Large main pool has beach style entrance, which is perfect for little children. Sprinklers and an island built into the main pool, plus a Boardwalk Burgers and Fries on location. All very nice and convenient. The point deduction of course comes from service. On my first visit there, I went with my two daughters. At the check in counter, I am told the non county resident price is $21 for adults per visit, a bit higher than I expected but whatever, as both my toddler daughters were free admission. The attendant then tells me after 5pm its discounted. Nearing 6pm, I say okay what's the price. She was quite pleased to tell me I only have to pay $20. With my huge savings in hand, I'm abruptly told I need to empty my ice water bottle and use their water cooler. And then I'm told if I have to run back to the car for anything there is no reentry without paying again. Really?? With two kids? Trying to put that ridiculousness behind me, after we find some recliners under some shade, we head to the pool. Not 5 mins later, thunder is heard and everyone has to exit the pool. 5 mins after that, the ordered the park closed at 6pm, an hour before normal close. Very frustrated, I told them I arrived not even 20 mins prior, and after some hesitation they offered me a day pass. Bottom line - the place is very nice, but the silly discount, and the no reentry rules need some reconsideration. Sorry for the book...

The City of Gaithersburg Water Park is hands down one of the best places to cool off and have fun during the summer. The lifeguard managers here are incredibly nice and always make sure that everyone is safe while still having a great time. Emily and Mauro, who run the park, truly go above and beyond to make sure every visit is special. The park hosts a variety of fun events like karaoke nights, DJ parties, Santa in July, and even Mermaid Day, which adds an extra layer of excitement and keeps things fresh and engaging for visitors of all ages. But what really stands out is the new food concession stand, **Triple B's Catering**. They have an impressive variety of food options, from delicious homemade pizza to crispy chicken tenders with fries, not to mention a wide assortment of drinks, candies, and ice creams. The prices are incredibly fair, making it easy to treat the whole family without breaking the bank. The staff at Triple B's Catering are accommodating and friendly, always making sure you get exactly what you need with a smile. It’s the perfect complement to a day of fun at the park!

Just know... there are a lot of rules..... overboard rules. Yes, I get the purpose of safety, but my gosh.... children can't really be children here. Basically, dont wear jewelry - certain jewelry is not allowed on the slides and some clothing like long cotton t-shirts. But, the purpose of multiple life guards is to have multiple eyes on people, and for those families that also actually watch their children, then it wouldn't be so much. But, there are so many rules. Oh, also, if you have a child 16 and under, you must be with them all times if they wear any kid of goggles, especially snorkeling type ones, even if they are almost 15. Also, keep in mind that if you are NOT a county resident or resident of Gaithersburg, you'll more than likely would get turnt away. So pay attention if you plan on having a party here and you have family and friends from out of state or from other counties. They checked a few IDs.It's also very costly for a small waterpark.... $16. They don't do anything special or accommodate the guest that are there for a party. If they are on pause due to their weather policies, you can't go in and just chill and enjoy the food that was brought for the party. But memberships are still allowed in even though they are not allowed in the pool during the pause. They do not have much knowledge with Autism or children with special needs, so keep an eye on your child(ren)/people 24-7. On top of them being over stimulated from waiting for hours to play. So they were really fussy and ready to go. And since they do not allow reentry, the parents couldn't go back to their car without having to pay $16 again. Some of the young folks there are just there to collect a check. They don't care, you can tell by their body language and how they spoke. Know their weather policy. If it's Thundering at all within that area, just be ready to be put on pause, and every time they hear a rumble, the 30 mins is extended. So your wait time could be an hour like ours, or longer. Thank God for the ice cream truck. They have a strict no reentry rule even though they have you on pause for weather and everyone that ran from the rain or/and thunder, ( I cant image being squeezed in there during lightning) while everyone trying to shelter in place in the small building. So if they were at capacity, it's going to be a tight fit. Their "30 mintues" weather policy they really don't follow, at least with today's experience. They all seemed so "eager" to get up and go to their jobs after they made us wait an additional 20 minutes. People literally did not swim for 3-4 hours. (I was there since 1:45 p and the pause was already happening. Myself and the rest of the guests including the party guests were finally allowed in at 3p. And then by 3:10p once everyone put their items down and were settled. They walked into the pool and was called to get out because of Thunder. So from 3:10 to 5p ,we were not allowed to swim and then a rain storm came so that's mainly why it was extnded on top of the thundering) Early during our wait, the employees all went to get ice cream and time just continued to get pushed back and guests started to wonder why, reasoning always were thundering was heard.. When it was time for us to finally be allowed to swim, we still had to wait. And this was after we were told we can go in at 4:50p and they didn't allow us to go until 5:10p. And they only started getting up until I walked over and asked why were they still just sitting here and the sun is out and the sky is blue, clouds are gone. No rumbling since 4 pm. People paid $16 and have been waiting for hours. The sky is clear and the sun is beaming, what's...

Don’t go here. Go to Germantown pool instead. Germantown pool will let in residents of Montgomery county and elsewhere, and it’s cheaper, and they have water slides and less rules. More fun for the kiddos.

I came on here and wasn’t surprised to see all the negative reviews. Me and my 2 kids went here today. We were looking forward to having a fun day and cooling off in a pool. We have been to a lot of the pools in Montgomery county. This pool by far has been the worst with how it is ran. As soon as we got there, our bags were checked. I was made to dump out my container of ice cold water. They said water would be provided inside. But the water jugs inside were empty. Then, they tried to tell me I couldn’t bring in my lip gloss because it was in a glass container 😆 it was a hard plastic but still…. WOW! it’s lip gloss.

Next, I am putting on my sun screen while my kids jump into the 4ft section of the pool. I have an 11 year old and a 10 year old. They kept blowing the whistles and I kept looking at my kids and I was thinking to myself it must not be my kids they are blowing the whistle at because they aren’t doing anything wrong. Then, my kids come up to me telling me they aren’t allowed to swim. I’m confused because we just paid 50 bucks to get into this pool and they can’t swim? I had to go up to a lifeguard and figure out why. So I find out that I have to be in the pool with them. At 4ft deep. One life guard said I have to be within 5 feet of them, another said within arms length. How crazy? I’ve never heard of such a thing. At this point I wish I could have received a refund. I mean they completely over charge when you can’t even use majority of pool. Too many rules and too much confusion. There should be signs all over that pool explaining their crazy policy that they don’t even know how to explain. Is it an age limit or height limit? And what sense does it make? They are 10 and 11 years old and could pass a swim test had there been one.

Then, I attempt to go down the water slide and they tell me I can’t wear my necklace on it. I find that funny being they let someone else wear a necklace and bracelets on it.

So we go to the kids section of the pool. And I look over in the 4ft section and there is a bunch of kids around my kids age swimming and they aren’t telling them to get out! Makes no sense how they pick and choose. I could see how this could make someone feel discriminated against.

So we went into the splash zone. And they told my kids they weren’t allowed in there because they are too tall. Wow. So many rules I have never ever heard of. I’m not sure who runs this place but stop trying to over do things because you definitely are over doing things! And I know it won’t make a difference to you, but I will never go back. And I will post this review and hope other people don’t decide to go because I truly had a terrible time here and it’s evident other people feel the same. Sad this pool is in...

I want to love this place. It's about 20 minutes from us, and my son loved playing there. Our recent trip leaves me wondering if we will return though. The facility itself is pretty nice. It features a few different pool areas. There is a splash pad area combined with a shallow pool (labeled 10", but I would estimate 14") for toddlers. It features several small water slides, water sprayers, geysers, and more. This small area is fenced in to keep little ones from wandering. It is a good thing, because parents didn't seem to be paying much attention to their children. We saw one boy pull his swimsuit completely down and urinate into the water. Another man, referring to a child as his grandson, was encouraging the child to pee in the pool. Fortunately, the child seemed to know better and refused, making his mother take him to the restroom a mere 20 feet away.

All of the pool areas had no chairs available. The park was very crowded. The guests were generally rude and would bump you, run into you, or just cut you off without a word. The larger pool areas were full of people, and the children's play area in another (featuring an alligator and a log) were completely overrun. The lines for the water slides didn't look bad.

The facility features lockers for your valuables and clothing. There are signs everywhere indicating they will sell you a lock for $7, but when I inquired, they were out. We did find small lockers for valuables, that were a quarter with a removable key.

The bathrooms were disgusting, every toilet in the men's room was covered with urine or worse (several looked to have feces smeared all over them). The locker room side, was okay, but my wife reported that the woman's locker room floor was covered in brown water.

All in all, this place has potential, but for $12 per person, I...
