WARRANTY SCAM ALERT. Very Upset with Mattress Warehouse. My wife & I bought our first mattress from them in 2010, were happy with the mattress so went back after 6 years to buy new mattress our daughter's room. The store in Gaithersburg MD sold me Kingsdown Valencia Anniversary King Size Mattress in November 2016. Within 2 weeks the mattress started sagging/sinking and leaving body impression. Contacted Mattress Warehouse warranty and they sent a 3rd party independent inspector to our home to inspect the mattress and he confirmed mattress was defective. Mattress Warehouse then emailed me a letter indicating we are eligible for replacement, but there is a BIG CATCH.
The mattress that they sold us is discontinued and no longer is manufactured so we have to get another manufacturer/model replacement, but we have to pay the full retail price which twice more than what we actually paid for my mattress.
So they are expecting us to pay twice to replace a mattress because the manufacturer Kingsdown manufactured and Mattress Warehouse sold me a defective mattress.
Mattress Warehouse's Warranty Dept tells us it's their company policy and cannot be overridden. So is their company policy to steal from Honest Hard Working families by selling discontinued & defective mattress and then charging them again to replace it.
We are stuck with a defective mattress and lost all the money we paid for it. We trusted them and hence returned to get a new mattress, but we were wrong to trust them. I wish no other family falls for this fraud/scam. Please be careful when...
Read moreWe were in search of a new mattress for our bedroom. The salesman we interacted with (name beginning with a "S") greeted us kindly and helped us to make a great choice in a mattress. He made sure we knew our options and did not rush our decision-making. He even created a rapport with us as we discussed TV shows here and in Pakistan. We would gladly purchase another mattress with his assistance in the future. In terms of the delivery service, I would give a 3 star rating. Although, the delivery was made early within the time window and no damage to my walls was observed as the mattress and adjustable platform were taken up the stairs, the delivery guys did damage the frame of my bed. Instead of taking the frame apart and then putting the platform inside, they placed the platform on its side within the frame of the bed. Because the platform is wide, it needs to be upright and on its legs so it won't push against the frame. At any rate, one the guys was trying to push the headboard to make room as the platform was being moved off its side and onto the legs. With that, one of the rails pulled out of the headboard and damaged it. One of the guys put some screws in the headboard to secure the posts which support the frame rails. It was a fix but temporary. Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars I would. The lack of customer service is astounding. The associates are friendly in trying to make the sale, but once issues start up they completely ignore you or talk down to you.
I bought a mattress from Adote in February and have yet to receive my mattress. I constantly called for updates and they would always brush me off. Finally, a month and a half later I try to cancel the order.
I asked Carlos B. to process the cancellation and his attitude was so disrespectful that I refuse to purchase anything at any Mattress Warehouse in the future. He tried to downgrade my mattress then said he couldn't give me a receipt showing that he cancelled my order. He gave a bunch of excuses as to why he couldn't cancel my order and said it would take about a week to receive a refund. I had to leave the store without any sort of receipt or proof that my order was being cancelled and I would be receiving a refund.
They are extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. I hope other locations are better about customer service but save yourself...
