My grandma passed away. Read that last sentence again. This shop is one of two flower shops located in Gallup, NM. We went there for a quote and we discussed it with the family and decided to purchase these flowers from this shop. The next day we went back and the employee discovered that she miscalculated the price of the flowers. I requested for the employee to call the owner, the owners solution was to pick a smaller package that fit the first quote. Please tell me how do you come to a resolution when it's regarding funeral flowers for a loved one. The owner was very rude while speaking to me. I ended up paying roughly $200 extra. It's disheartening, frustrating, and mind boggling of a small business owner to take advantage of people in a small town. Sure, I could have gone somewhere else but my grandma was going to be buried two days later. Therefore, I let the owner be disrespectful over the phone so that I can have flowers for my grandma. To make it worse, the employee was crying and I felt bad for their mistake. I ended up apologizing to her when it should have been the other way around. The flower arrangements were beautiful but in some way they were tainted with no sympathy and no empathy for the loss of a loved one. Today, it still bothers me that I let someone treat me so disrespectfully over the phone so that my grandma can get her flowers.
In response to the owner's comment below, I knew she was going to bring up the discounted items. I had originally asked her how she was going to fix the mistake. All she offered was the smaller package. I am the one who suggested several ways on how she can fix their mistake, she was very firm to assume that I did not have the money to pay for the flowers and firm on the smaller package. Therefore, I denied the discounts because I felt that I was put in a situation where I felt like I was cheaping out my grandma that is why I paid full price. As a business owner, the owner should have fixed the mistake without me asking. I was so upset but I remained calm. I felt her voice over the phone was aggressive because I asked to call her, she should have been more understanding and apologetic. Because of her tone, I felt that if I kept on, she would've said to go somewhere else. Therefore, I paid what was miscalculated so my grandma can have her flowers. Mistakes do happen, yes, the whole situation should have been handled more...
Read moreI recently ordered a bouquet online from the Blossom Shop for my wife just to make her day a little bit better at work. I’d ordered her flowers the same way before and never had a problem. The bouquet was beautiful however the flowers weren’t delivered until right before my wife’s work closed and I to be honest I wasn’t very happy. When I received a request for feedback about the order, I wrote that I felt delivering the flowers that late in the day was sort of anticlimactic.
The next day I received a phone call from the florist Marlon about what happened. I was told that their flower order that day hadn’t come in until after noon and that made it difficult to get everyone’s order out on time. Being from Gallup, I totally understood getting deliveries later than expected. Marlon said that they had meant to call me to tell me what was going on but lost track of time. Which I also understood. So Marlon called, explained what happened and apologized, which is the sign of a good business. What Marlon did next is the sign of a great business.
I hadn’t asked for any recompense because I totally understood the situation but Marlon had already decided to send my wife another small yet impressive bouquet to make up for the disappointment of the first one being delivered so late in the day. Being proactive to make sure that a customer is 100% satisfied is the sign of a great business with great employees and a great owner. Thanks for going...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about the Blossom Shop. The day before our little brother’s service, we received a floral arrangement elsewhere that was not what we expected so we began to try to find a florist that was willing to work under the time restraints of about 2 hours until close of business. We are soooo thankful to Blossom Shop because not only were they willing to make two beautiful standing sprays, but they were able to put it all together with colors honoring my brother as a Marine veteran. I have only good things to say about this shop! I don’t recommend going at the last minute like we did, but can you imagine what kind of magic they can do with more time?! Thank you so much! The flowers were excellent and really made the service extra...
