Tbh... My husband and I have came here twice in the last 4 yrs and stayed in the Club 10 suite both times but I have to say this last experience which was a week ago was the WORST experience I've ever had at a resort! I had an adverse reaction to a new medication my Dr placed me on just before our vacay, we'll go figure it had to start happening on our 1st day upon arrival. Well my husband had to call 911 from our room because I had gotten really sick and my BP and HR went thru the roof!! NOT 1 SINGLE staff member nor the management during our entire 6 day stay ever checked on me or my husband to see if I was ok or if we needed ANYTHING! The swim-up bar can get TOO out of hand with TOO MANY DRUNKS!! I was violated by a drunk man that poured his entire beer down my back and leg and then had the nerve to look at me like I had done something to him, needless to say he was escorted off the premises afterwards! We paid waaay too much money to stay here for it to be so-called "classy"! I will say tho the view from the balconies are awesome and the in-room food dining and their staff act like the most appreciative ppl on this Earth and the food I give an A+ but to tell the truth "this is NOT a place for children!!!" It's ashame when 1 of Al's good friends tells my husband and I that they recommend The Diamond Beach Resort instead for ITS BETTER CLASSINESS!!! The Steakhouse is a lil over rated and priced but the best food I've ever eaten n my life!! Next time in Galveston we're going to the Diamond Beach...
Read moreAttended a 3-day annual tattoo convention. The room for the event was well-organized and had convenient access, with the exception of disabled access to the building. A lift will get a person to the level of the doors, but it takes a strong person to open any of the entrance doors. There should be an electric opening door! The Center manager was very considerate when approached and listened carefully to concerns about temperature for the room. He immediately corrected it and the room was comfortable for the remainder of the event. Sound quality was good. The area was clean at all times. Lighting was good and restroom facilities were very clean and beyond adequate. Parking is convenient and there are areas outside for smoking. Of course, being located on the Seawall across the street from the beach is a plus for breaks. There are restaurants all along the Seawall, but there were refreshments and drinks sold conveniently in the event. Security was good and extra police were present for later hours of the event when the heaviest public traffic...
Read moreWe have stayed at the San Luis Resort multiple times in the past and have recommended it to family in friends. We will NO longer be doing so. This weekend we stayed at The San Luis Resort and it was a disaster. There were a lot of non hotel guests in the pool and around the pool bar. I waited 45 minutes for a drink At the pool bar and had to ask 5 times. There were an astronomical amount of people and very few staff throughout the entire resort. We experienced the same situation when attempting to order food at the outside restaurant. One hour later after asking 3 servers for menus one showed up. The service was horrible!! At 1:15 am we were woken up by people screaming in the hallway and doors slamming. We called the front desk 6 times before someone finally picked up only to tell us that she was the only person at the front desk and would “try” to send security. This disruption lasted another 30 minutes. The whole experience has been horrible. It’s such a shame that this resort has gone down the tubes because we truly use to enjoy...
