Like others have said, if I could do zero stars, I would. These people flat out lied to my face. When we checked in, the front desk guy wrote the wi-fi password on the key envelope. When we get to the room, we notice there's no remote for the TV, no coffee pot and no microwave or fridge. I try to call the front desk but no answer. I walk back down there and told the guy there was no remote. He said he would have maintenance bring us one. We waited for a while but we had dinner reservations and had to leave. On the way out we stopped by the front desk again and the guy said the maintenance guy had to run to Randall's to get batteries for the remote and that it would be waiting there at the desk when we returned. When we returned there was a woman at the desk now and she laughed so hard when I said I was there to pick up the remote. She told me that the motel was under renovation for the past 2 years and that the place had no TV or internet. Why would the first guy write the wi-fi code and tell me all this bologna about the remote? Did he think I was some stupid American that wouldn't figure it out? I told the night lady that we would not be staying there and I wanted a refund. She said that would be no problem, they have to do it all the time. This all occurred on 9/26/25. As of today, I have yet to have my $120 refunded and my bank is now involved. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Save yourself the aggravation and stay next door at...
Read moreThe motel6 at 7404 j ave in galbeston tx, i stayed there on feb 16, 2025 anf checked out feb 17. 2025-i inadvertently left a large amoumt of cash in the room and the money was on top of bed covered by bed spread, i called thr motel 4 times and they told me that they didnt find the money, its litrrally impossible for the cleaning lady not to find it. Its possible she didnt find the money if they dont clean the room between guest so when i got back from my cruise i made a police report and i made a bad review telling that i know the cleaning lady took my money and ive been coming to this motel for over 2 years and when i went to the motel on 7 mar, 2025 to check in the front drsk clerk told me thst the manager banned me from this motel. I talked to the manager a lady named ms alexander and she told me since i made a police report and gave them a bad review and accused their employee of theft that i was now banned from the property anf i coulfnt stay there any more and she then cancelled all my future stays there-rather than be mad about me making the accusation she should reward me for telling her she hss employees that wont turn in left items in the room, how does this lady become a manager, maybe shes related to the owner but this lady is ridiculous and should not be a motel manager, hopefully the owner of this motel sees this review and remove her from...
Read moreThis was one of the most disappointing — and frankly, unsettling — travel experiences I’ve ever had. We booked this Motel 6 location specifically because it was advertised as being on the beach/Seawall. That is completely false. It’s not beachfront. In reality, the property is set multiple buildings back from the ocean with no view, and no easy beach access. The listing is blatantly misleading.
When we arrived, the property looked like a construction zone. Multiple rooms were wide open and clearly under renovation, with debris visible and workers milling around. It felt more like a job site than a functioning hotel. We tried calling the front desk multiple times to get clarification or assistance, and no one ever answered. Zero communication. Zero accountability.
As a parent traveling with young children, I didn’t feel safe staying here. The combination of construction activity, lack of security, and the overall condition of the place made the whole experience feel chaotic and unsafe.
We ended up leaving and finding a different hotel because this location was simply not acceptable. Avoid this place — especially if you're traveling with kids or expecting a relaxing beach stay. It’s not what’s advertised, and Motel 6 should be ashamed to have its name on...
