Really poor experience with Kroger's delivery. Ordered groceries and waited for them to arrive. At one point, the driver texted me they were waiting with my order on the other side of the complex at a different building. I called the number, but they did not pick up. I then got a message that the order had been canceled "by the customer." I called the new number they gave me where it said I could talk to customer service.
I called customer service and they said I would be charged for the full order because an attempt was made to deliver, but the customer canceled after the order had left the store. I explained to them that I had not canceled the order. I would know if I had done that. They told me, "Well, the system says it was canceled by the customer."
They transfered me to the store and I spoke with Jordan, who again told me it is their policy that the customer gets charged for any order that leaves the store. I told him I wanted the order and I did not cancel it. He said his system says otherwise.
So, long story short, their drivers can apparently mark in the system that an order is "refused by the customer." Even though they never made it to my home, even though I had been sitting next to my front window all afternoon and I would have seen anyone approaching my door, and even though I never canceled the order, Kroger's shady delivery drivers get to claim that an order was canceled and the store gets to pocket that money. For all I know, the driver left Kroger's and then sat at the beach for twenty minutes and then went back to the store claiming that I had refused the order.
Really shady scam going on at Kroger's. At the end of the call, Jordan asked me if there were any concerns or questions he could answer and I told him, "At this point, I have a lot of questions and concerns, but it doesn't seem like anyone is interested in addressing them." He responded with, "Okay, then have a wonderful rest of your day." Click
Really pathetic. Stay away from Kroger's unless you want money stolen from your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDrove here & bought chicken tenders for lunch (the kind that are ready to eat) & they were huge! :) However, when I asked for dipping sauces, they were out of honey mustard, so the clerk offered me honey chipotle. I was a little disappointed but thought "whatever" & asked her for the honey chipotle & ranch. I waited for a while for the clerk to get the sauces because she had to walk to the back to get them, & then only brought 1 ranch & 1 honey chipotle. I'm thinking A) why don't you keep the sauces at the front where it's easier for everybody, clerks & customers alike & B) you're selling enormous chicken tenders, you think 2 dipping sauces are enough? Is the clerk being stingy because i'm unknowingly ransacking her secret stash? Have they been instructed by management to be stingy in order to save on cost? I didn't ask for more because at this point there was a line behind me & the clerk obviously was done helping me & had moved on to the next customer... I go to checkout & noticed they had a soda fountain machine advertising 32oz drinks for 99 cents. What a deal! So i ask the clerk to charge me for one, & i go serve myself. Well, none of the lids fit the 32oz cup, & they only had one stack of these cups out there, no more sizes. I ask the clerk if she can help me find lids & all she said was "we're out of the regular cups so we're using these cups & the lids we have don't fit them. Sorry!". Ok. This is not helpful at all. So i had to drive my happy self back to work holding this big lid-less cup full of cold soda while hoping not to hit a bump on the road. I guess this store has an ugly pattern of running out of items & doing a half-assed job of replacing them. I'm...

I had a fantastic experience at Kroger on Seawall! After reading some negative reviews, I felt compelled to share my thoughts, as they seemed to lack a fair perspective. This store truly deserves a five-star rating.
First off, the cleanliness is impressiveāboth inside and out. The store is well-maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Despite the slight price increase typical for island shopping, Kroger still offers affordable prices, and I found plenty of great sale items perfect for a tight budget.
The layout is user-friendly, making it easy to navigate the aisles. I also appreciated the pleasant music playing at a reasonable volume, which added to the enjoyable shopping experience. The staff has consistently greeted me with a friendly hello, which makes a big difference.
One of the best aspects is the high volume of shoppers, yet the lines move quickly, making for a smooth checkout process. The store has a fun beach vibe, filled with happy tourists and lots of pretty people, adding to the lively atmosphere.
If I had to make a critique, Iād suggest being prepared for the beach wind in the parking lotāit can get quite breezy! So, if itās cold, definitely bring a windbreaker. But honestly, you canāt go wrong with the refreshing sea breeze and the beautiful beach adjacent to the store.
Overall, with its good selection and inviting ambiance, I would definitely consider Kroger the top grocery store on the island. Hands down, itās a wonderful...
