The store itself is clean but there's a weird smell and I think it might have to do with people using dispensery products at a near by shop in the plaza before coming in which isn't their fault. The store has a wide collection of cards from poke.on modern and vintage, one piece, magic, and yugioh. What got me with this store and the main reason I don't plan to go back is their customer service. There was three employees that weren't busy but did not want to assist me. I called the store to inquire if they would be allowing people to participate in the pre-release event they heavily were advertising so I called the store and spoke with John/Jon. He said that they have open slots and a lot were already taken by their regular customers. I asked if all spots were reserved for their regulars (which is in violation of the Pokemon trading card company policy) and he said most slots but if I came in person to sign up it would not be a problem. I asked if he was sure because I'd be driving at least 2 hours away and he assured me everything would be fine. I get to the store 5 hours before the event starts. I inform the employee that I was there to sign up for the pre-release event at 7pm. They asked me if I was a regular player, and I said no. Which is an odd question to ask because if you care about your regular players, could you not recognize them? I was told that not only could I not sign up, but I would have to wait until 20 minutes before the event starts to see IF the slots are still avilable, and they would still be calling their regulars to verify if any more were coming before they can sell me a slot. I told the staff that John/Jon did not mention any of this on the phone and I just left. Don't bother coming here if your looking to actually play the game, because they will gate keep you from their pokemon events and...
Read moreJJ’s Collectibles is hands-down the best trading card store I’ve ever visited, and a big part of that is thanks to their incredible employee, Dean. From the moment I walked in, the shop had a welcoming atmosphere, but it was Dean’s professionalism and passion for the hobby that truly elevated the experience.
Dean greeted me warmly and immediately offered to help with anything I needed. His knowledge of trading cards—whether it’s Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, or sports cards—was unmatched. I was looking for a specific card for my collection, and not only did Dean know exactly what I was talking about, but he also went above and beyond to search their inventory and even offered to place a special order for me.
What impressed me the most was Dean’s genuine enthusiasm. He didn’t just try to sell me something; he engaged in a thoughtful conversation about the hobby, sharing tips about card care and even suggesting some underrated packs I might enjoy. His honesty and dedication to customer satisfaction really stood out.
The store itself is well-organized, with a wide variety of products and fair prices, but Dean’s exceptional service made the experience unforgettable. JJ’s Collectibles is now my go-to shop, and I’ll definitely recommend it to anyone in the trading card community. If you visit, make sure to ask for Dean—you won’t be disappointed!
Five stars aren’t enough to express how great this place is. Thank you, Dean, and thank you, JJ’s...
Read moreI entered this Tcg store because I was in the area and I looked around. The staff were quite busy with other customers so I spent some time looking at the cards. They have a great selection with vintage and modern cards. I asked an available employment about the prices and how they priced their cards. I was told that they use tcg player and take into account damage when selling the card. It was what you would expect until I got to a competitively relevant card where I was told that it was 19% more expensive because it was a rarer variant and meta. So for anyone looking to get a dollar or two off the market price, I would not count on it. The owner seems like a great guy and I get that it is incredibly difficult to run a brick and mortar card shop so I do not think it is immoral to this. I am not the target demographic for this shop so disregard this review if you are fine with paying a little bit extra for rare cards.
Edit: in case anyone is curious I was told that their policy is 60% for cash and 65% for...
