Ace Hardware — Attraction in Gardena

I purchased a Weber Smokegrill online which stated free delivery and free assembly if you are an Ace member. I called their Gardena store to check and they confirmed that is actually the case. I chose to buy it from them for this reason. So I became a member thinking I would have the BBQ delivered fully delivered. When it came to check out I noticed it said free delivery automatically. When the product came a week later from their Gardena store, it was not assembled. They said that the invoice did not say free assembly so they could not assemble it. There was no obvious direction to order free assembly online. The customer service from here was atrocious to say the least. I called customer service who said they would check and did not return my call. The manager from the Gardena store said it was an online store issue and not theirs so could not help. We had a party the next day so it was important to have it assembled. There was absolutely no solution from them except to return the Grill. I won’t be buying anything...

So I roll into Ace Hardware 'cause the website said they had this mask I needed. Yeah, it was cheaper at Home Depot, but hey, Ace was closer and I’m lazy. I get there, and the cashier’s got no clue, right? So she’s like, "Hold on, I’ll ask someone on the headset." Isle 7, she says. Alright, cool. I head over there, and guess what? No mask. Not a single one.

So I find this bald, fat guy, probably the manager or something, and I’m like, “Hey man, you know where the masks are?” And this dude, he just shrugs. Like, just shrugs his shoulders like I asked him for the meaning of life or something. Thanks for the stellar service, buddy. Really feeling the Ace “helpful hardware folks” vibe here. Next time, I’ll just drive the extra miles to Home Depot and...

I dont know much about plumming or hardware, so I always as for help. Every experience I had at ACE hardware store has been great, everyone is so helpful and friendly. I go in and walked out happy finding everything I need. My mosy recent experience was went in to find a tube pipe for under the sink to install a water filter drain hose, the agent help find one and gave tips on my project, two days later i went back bc the tube was the wrong one, the other agent help me find the correct one, i asked for help installing the clap he did that too, cut the pipe the correct size too. I made it home plug in hose. Amazing customer service...
