Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center — Attraction in Garfield Township

After living in Las Vegas for the last several years, I came home and made an appointment with one of the only medical spas in the northern Michigan area. I have had services at other medical spas in Las Vegas for the same treatment. During my consultation and actual procedure I got the inkling that these people really don’t know what they are doing based on my experience in Las Vegas, the matters as to which my treatment was done was very unprofessional. I sat awkwardly on a chair as a laser treatment was being performed. Amongst the catty-ness in this entire spa, the treatment alone was a good inkling that not a lot of experience was present. The price to do my entire laser treatment would of been cheaper than just doing half, as I was advised in a Las Vegas spa that my treatment should be done in halves due to a blood circulation issue. The lady who did my laser treatment at this spa came off as she did not care if my circulation would be cut off, as she did not care really at all about the entire procedure. I was advised that my full procedure would be 300 as opposed to half of the procedure for 200. By the time I was checking out I had a card chip issue, and had to call my bank, as this was happening the catty female workers were talking in the back room about me as I could clearly hear. As I was checking out I cancelled an appointment I had made prior and THE FEMALE CHECKING ME OUT ASKED IF IT WAS SOMETHING THEY DID. I advised the clerk that I was not a fan and no refund or APOLOGY was offered. I got a catty “have a good one” as I left the spa. If you ask a customer this, then you know exactly how you treated the customer. I was shell shocked as I left this spa and was severely upset at how I was treated. I have never left a negative review google, but how this spa operated was nothing I’ve ever seen and I would not recommend this spa to anyone. I rather drive four hours downstate then go back to this spa. I couldn’t morally give my money to this location due to the catty ness and unprofessional work ethic at this location. This was a complete fail on the spas end to make customers feel comfortable and have a good experience. There is nothing but bad vibes and catty women working here and the prices are absolutely outrageous. I rather drive downstate Michigan to pay for quality service and not feel uncomfortable around a bunch of cosmetically altered females who judge you when you walk in. Had to change this review because even though I spent a lot of money with this company, the service I have received lately has been terrible. I did not get the results I was hoping for and when I called and very kindly requested to speak to someone about this, I was told I would get a callback within a day and yet it has been seven days with no contact whatsoever. I’m very disappointed, I would not recommend this office, as soon as something goes wrong, they are very unwilling to help. Customers should not be treated like an unimportant number. 😔 Edit: This review is not about the products or results as much as the service. I 100% took the advice of the experts at this organization and trusted that they would be doing the right thing. I have never once been unkind or uncooperative. I have always come to them with sincere desire to have the best possible outcome. I am sorely disappointed in how this is being handled. I received a letter in the mail today saying that they would no longer provide service. Not a phone call to talk to me about what we could do differently, no contact to apologize for the results, nothing. I would understand if I had been a difficult client, but I have not at all. And, on a sidenote, I did do the full amount recommended and the results were not as I had hoped. That was not a “partial” or “light” treatment by any means. Very sad to be treated this way. I'm a nice person. I also have a weird eclectic style, but also didn't know I had to dress to the nines for an appointment without feeling like I don't belong. The coolest person I met was the wonderful woman who helped with the numbing and picture taking. I ADORE her. My cosmetic nurse was sweet and encouraging, she really went full throttle for me! However, my check up was nothing like those experiences. I understand high society, I lived in SoCal and hung out with the Housewives of OC(yes the TV series ladies, Lizzie is wonderful)...so please, the judgement is grossly mundane to me. I have money, but live moderately. Telling me the product that was paid in full for isn't "really much left & it looks perfect" knowing I just expressed concerns is yuck. And then recommend Botox instead for an extra $$$, is beyond gnarly. I had frown lines because I was pissed at the audacity to tell me what was told to me with a fake smile, with a side of judgment.
