These people and the company are the best. I cannot believe my good fortune of discovering them. Back in 2018, I wanted my husband to build me a small "She-Shed" on the back of our property so we could watch sunsets. I drew a picture of what I wanted. He suggested that I check online to see if I could find something without starting from scratch. So I did a Google search for small cabins and went to the first one on the list, BZB Cabins. Good choice on their part to have their name be at the beginning of the alphabet. I went to small cabins on their site and just gasped when I went to one of the first ones, which was almost identical to the one I drew. I called Jesse over to look at it and he was quite impressed. They were always in close contact with me via phone or email as far as delivery and what would be involved. They sent us building plans and blueprints ahead of time so we could see what we going to be doing once we got the pieces. Jesse is a building contractor and he was so impressed with the quality of all of the wood and windows and that absolutely everything was included. It was like putting together Linkin Logs. Plus we added a loft for sleeping which further stabilized the structure although it was not necessary. We added that to provide more sleeping areas. It is the best investment ever. We even got an insurance approved wood burning stove to keep it warm in the winter. It is unbelievable how weather tight it is. Even sitting next to a window in winter, you cannot feel a draft coming in. And even in single digit outdoor temps, it gets up to 60 degrees in about 30 minutes and 90 + in 45 minutes with our wood burning stove. My latest contact with them was requesting to BUY a new handle and lock mechanism ONLY because we were caught out there a few weeks ago in a horrific storm that we thought was a tornado. It turned out to be flat line winds. But in our hurry to get out and back to our house, we misplaced the key or it blew away. By the way, the cabin sustained the severe winds with no casualties. The person who responded to my request said they were sending me a new handle and lock and key. I asked how much and she said nothing. This absolutely was not a fault with the structure, just our stupidity in losing the key when we thought we might be losing our lives. (not really that drastic but it was scary) Our She-Shed is a point of interest for people to visit and we are so proud to tell people all about BZB cabins and how this came to being. Also, it was so reasonably priced that Jesse said we could never have built something like that on our own for the same price. And as a contractor, he raves about the quality of everything. Kudos to the quality of the BZB cabins and the absolutely wonderful customer service. Next thing MIGHT be a...
Read moreI purchased the "Cubo L" 2-room sauna from BZB Cabins and Outdoors a few months back. Sigmar's customer service is outstanding. He was patient in providing multiple options, detailing the benefits and potential drawbacks of each option. His honesty about items worth purchasing from him versus elsewhere is commendable and shows his commitment to customers' best interests. The purchasing and delivery process was easy, smooth and efficient, even on short notice. Sigmar's employee, Tony, made the delivery, helped out with placing material in location of my choice and provided helpful pointers on the build (would like to mention that they provide expert assembly/build service, however I decided to do it on my own due to customization I'll mention below). Tony's dedication was evident as he made several trips to ensure all necessary components, like the heater and additional lumber, were delivered. As I continued with my build and customization of my sauna, Sigmar continued to offer invaluable advice and provided additional lumber and hardware as needed. His ongoing support and genuine interest in ensuring the best possible outcome were truly remarkable. I built the sauna using the kit and instructions provided, which I found to be extremely clear. It took me 1 day to prepare the foundation, 3 days (with help from my dad - 2 people) to build the structure, install windows/doors and the roof. It took me 2 days (just myself) to finish the inside - floor, ceiling, trim and benches - inclusive of electrical work with the help of my electrician (heater connection is super simple). Finally, I spend another 2 days customizing it to my liking with the LED strip and recess lighting, hidden wiring, custom shelving, outlets, a Murphy table and more. Just be patient and organize the material, and you'll find the process smooth and manageable. I've been using the sauna for over a month, twice a week, and it has been amazing. The structure is solid and holds heat well in the winter (walls are Thermwood material and ceilings are insulated), and the finishing looks great - I have received a lot of compliments. Having a wall of windows gives a feeling of more space and overall more enjoyable experience. The heater, at 15kW, gets the temperature up in no time with capacity of exceeding 200F (if desired). The changing room, or in my case, the relaxation room, has been great to spend time with family and friends while cooling off. The effort and expense are 100% worth it. My experience with Sigmar has been highly positive. His honesty, dedication, and exceptional service have made a lasting impression. I would strongly recommend BZB Cabins and Outdoors if you are looking for a smooth experience with comprehensive support throughout...
Read moreSmartest thing I have done in years was ordering our sauna from BZB. I spent a LOT of time looking and checking out others and this has turned out even better than I hoped for a really reasonable price. The overall quality is very good but the benches and the wood stove quality is excellent (which for me are the most important parts). It came within a few days of ordering it and Steve, the delivery chap, helped me get it all in the garage. It's pretty darned heavy so I am glad I spent the time building a base out of pavers I got from Lowes. I did 95% of it on my own, (my wife and two young lads helped with getting the end pieces up) and it all went pretty well (despite a big snow storm half way through). Some tricky bits were that the instructions didn't quite match the kit in places (the kit included a few extra parts and the chimney needed a bit of figuring out) but Sigmar was super quick answering my questions and sending me photos and that helped a ton. I have stained the outside, oiled the inside (with sauna oil), added power for some lights and I couldn't be happier. We have now used it everyday for two weeks, the temperature is great (it can get super hot if you want) and I genuinely couldn't be happier. Six month update: We have used our sauna four to five times a week and it's still as good as new. Only thing we have done is to add in a cold plunge next to it. One plus year on and our sauna is still as...
