I just had a frustrating experience at Five Below. While shopping, I found an item that didn’t have a barcode. Instead of the cashier entering it as a five-dollar miscellaneous item, she insisted I go all the way to the back of the store to find a similar item with a barcode. I couldn’t believe it—this is part of a cashier's job, after all.
To make matters worse, she kept giving me these uncomfortable stares, making it feel like I was stuck in a staring contest. It was clear she wasn’t going to budge and help me out.
I rushed to the back of the store, grabbed the item, and hurried back, hoping to expedite the process. But when I returned, she was busy ringing up another customer who had a cart full of items, forcing me to wait again.
This was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had in a store. Not only did she avoid doing her job, but she also didn’t even give me a moment to return before taking on another customer. I had already spent ten minutes waiting in line, and all I needed was just a minute or two of her time.

One didn't have the price up front (it was towards the side versus the other signs were up front and easy to see) but to keep them from looking I automatically asked the first employee I saw. Now my fiance doesn't like to ask for help but personally I don't mind. They prefer to look for something for a good minute before truly asking for help but I find it faster to just ask. The employee in question seemed off and not friendly. She said in a pretty snarky and almost "your dumb" tone that it was on the side and walked away. This made the whole shopping experience essentially not welcoming and we immediately paid for what we had and left. I understand that it can be annoying that people ask questions even if it's in plain view but I don't need an attitude. Read moreAlways has great products but when I went to the store it was very messy and unorganized. I barely could push my car anywhere. The employees were very disrespectful and had an attitude. The woman who checked me out was the same one I dealt with when I came in months ago, she had the exact same attitude. I thought about also applying there but I do not wanna work with people who have an attitude doing the job they decide to work at. I don’t think I will go back and shop at the store. If anything I’ll just buy things online. They also charge twice for one of our items, but we did not want to go back in and get a refund because I had a feeling that should be very upset by that and show us more attitude because already checking out they seem like they did not want us in there.
