I am so bummed that I am writing this. I like their styles of furniture. They are of good quality. I have bought 2 couches and a bed. I was set to buy a leather chair and another bedroom set with a total amount spent exceeding $8,000. I purchased a service plan when I purchased a couch five years ago. If you don’t file a claim they give you the amount you spent on it back to you after a five year period. I was in shopping for furniture in march and bought a headboard, footboard and dresser. I was going to hold off on purchasing the furniture until May so I could use the cash back. My sales person assured me that I could use it after May. I said that I would not be purchasing again for several months. She said that is no problem. They say you need to use it within 60 days but you are fine to come back after that. They will honor it. I was in to buy another piece of furniture today ($2,000) and explain the situation. They refused to honor it. $248. They said, “A floor salesman said that and they don’t know anything. We can’t honor it.” I was set to spend another $2,500-3,000 in the next month. I can assure you that will not get my business in the future. By their own admission their floors sales people don’t know anything about that being said you can’t trust the salespeople. I spent a lot of money and they are losing a loyal customer over $250. What a shame.

I was shopping for a bedroom set in approximately March-April. I knew my “refund” for the extended warranty was becoming available in May. I let the sales associate know that I wanted to use the refund and may need to wait until May. I was informed that I could not use the refund until May. I let them know that it would be several months before I would make another purchase. The sales associated assured me that I would be able to use it within 60 days. I said that I will not be making a purchase decision until late in the year. I was assured that upon explaining the situation, that the cashier would honor the refund when I decided to purchase. I went to purchase a couch last weekend and brought this up. The associate at the cashier informed me that they would not honor it. I explained that the sales associate assured me that I would be able to use it back in March even though the purchase would be beyond the 60 days. The cashier said, “The sales associates don’t know anything. I am telling you that we will not honor it.” I responded that the sales associate wears a name tag saying Living Spaces thereby representing Living Spaces. She refused. My mom was with me, both at the time I purchased and when I was at the cashier last weekend. My mom reinforced that she heard the sales associate as well. She still said no. Here are the items I was planning to purchase in the next two months:

Items purchased in the past:

2 couches 1 bedroom set

My review states that I will no longer be purchasing these items because Living Spaces will not stand by the Sale’s associates commitment to honor the refund. The total of the refund was less than $$250. Living spaces is short sighted given that they stand to make considerably more profit then $250 for my future purchases. Further, your accounting books already took the deduct as a cost of doing business. I have a small amount of credit remaining from a warranty return. I will spend that money because I do not want to give Living Spaces more of my money. I was a loyal customer who referred people. No longer. In fact I will advocate to those that I know to take their business elsewhere because Living Spaces does not stand by their Sale’s associates...

I am writing to express my absolute disgust and frustration with the dishonest, unprofessional, and incompetent service I’ve received from Living Spaces. After this experience, I want nothing to do with your company—now or in the future.

False Advertising & Misrepresentation During our visit to your Gilbert store, a salesperson assured us we were receiving a special Memorial Day discount on a mattress. Later, customer service informed me there was no such promotion—the price I paid is offered year-round. Your team blatantly lied to us, and that’s false advertising, plain and simple.

Mishandled Warranty Claim & Broken Promises We came in due to a warranty claim for a sagging mattress, which was approved by your technician. In-store, we were told we could keep the old mattress after applying the credit to a new one. This was a key reason we agreed to upgrade and spend an additional $2,000 on a king set.

However, during delivery, your team took the old mattress despite this agreement. I was left arguing with the delivery team and management while watching it get hauled away—completely against what was promised. This caused major stress and embarrassment. It was misleading, unprofessional, and unacceptable.

Misguided Upsell Resulting in Financial Loss Had I known I wouldn’t be able to keep the original mattress, I never would have upgraded. I had purchased a $2,000 queen bed frame, from YOU, less than a year ago and only intended to use the king for myself and keep the queen for guests. Now, I’m stuck with a king set I didn’t want and can’t return—and I have to buy another queen mattress just to use the existing frame.

The exchange would have happened regardless due to the sagging, but your staff’s deception pressured me into a costly upsell that doesn’t meet my needs.

Missing Mattress Protector & Customer Burden As part of the king set, I bought an expensive mattress protector that wasn’t in stock and was to be drop-shipped. Over a week after the scheduled delivery, nothing arrived. When I called, I was told there was an issue with the shipping address and I had to contact UPS myself—something I never should’ve had to do.

After going back and forth with UPS and your team, I was told the order would now be canceled. Forced to chase the item myself, and got nothing but stress. The lack of follow-through is appalling.

Zero Accountability & Terrible Customer Service I’ve made multiple calls and not one person has taken responsibility or offered meaningful help. I asked to return the king set and was told it was a final sale—a policy never disclosed until after the transaction. Meanwhile, I was repeatedly told I could keep my old mattress, which turned out to be false.

This entire experience has been filled with deception, lack of transparency, and an outrageous absence of basic customer care. I feel completely scammed and taken advantage of.

This has been the worst customer experience of my life. I’ve spent thousands of dollars, been misled at every turn, and am left with stress, financial loss, and no resolution. Living Spaces has failed at every level—from in-store sales to delivery to follow-up service.

At this point, I feel completely scammed. Played. Lied to. I’m disgusted and speechless over how poorly this was handled from start to finish.

I will be sharing this experience with family, friends, and every major review platform to warn others about the shady and dishonest business practices at Living Spaces. I would say I expect an explanation as to how this went so wrong. Yet, after this experience I can’t expect anything. I am...

Everything was great until....my newly purchased Rocking Chair and 3pc Sofa (2 cushion sofa, with end piece being a moveable-chaise lounger setup). The back cushions are wonderfully comfortable. Yay.

However, the seat cushions on all pieces are so hard (stuffing-wise) that it hurts my bones ( hips/legs/knees) to sit on them...to the point of pain & tears. YIKES!!!

I had no issues sitting on the floor model...loved it...so that's why I bought it.

However, once mine was delivered...YIKES!!...What happened?!!!

This was not anything like the wonderful experience I had sitting on the floor models!

I'm so disappointed, in physical pain and can't believe the difference! I even drove to another Living Spaces location closer to my home n asked their opinion...they were no help...saying "just go home and start jumping on the cushions, so they'll eventually get broken in"...as the floor model I fell in love with, "has been on the floor for 10yrs = Ten yrs of shoppers breaking it in...so just go home n start jumping on those cushions".

Seriously?

I will now be driving to the exact store location, where I bought the sectional from and see what resolution THEY will provide...such as re-doing the "stuffing" in the bottom seat cushions, so NOT to cause me pain n grief.

I am soooo disappointed, discouraged, and perplexed...by my experience with Living Spaces' end-product and attitude, so far. Especially since I had such a great experience shopping & selecting my new sectional. Working with the staff, at that point, was excellent.

Also, it was helpful to have delivery options printed out on the sales contract, But.... there was no mention of "changes" to delivery/pickup needing to be co-ordinated, with all parties involved, ..."48 hrs in advance" of delivery. So just a suggestion: as a friend offered us a trailer to go pickup our new furniture...but when we called to make that change...we were told we couldn't make that change because WE needed to do that 48 hours...in advance of date of delivery. Just sayin'...

Would I recommend Living Spaces to family n friends???. . ."Yes, but...
