I would like to write a good review even with what happened with the “dog fee” in the last 2 lines of the small print buuuut I can’t. Booked on Hotels.com using the “pet friendly” filter. Arrive and Nicole, the front desk attendant tells me about a 50 dollar fee for my dog. She then shows me the fine print where this is stated on the hotels account on Hotels.com. The room is non refundable and I’m already into it for over 100 dollars so of course I’m paying the 50 dollars. I did not yell at Nicole or was I rude to Nicole in any manner. Now here’s where the night gets interesting. She gives me the room 420, which I assume is because she saw my bloodshot eyes. I live in Texas and I am visiting for Christmas. Must not have dawned on her I was not high, I have allergies!! I get into the room and only 2 of the 6 light switches work. The window shade control does not work. NO LIGHTS in the bathroom work except for the built in night light. Finally, even the TV doesn’t work. Now I checked in at 11:30 at night, simply exhausted from the day and did not have the energy to go back down stairs to contest the awful accommodations. I am sure you have been there too, beat up from the day and ready to sleep. Oh and the breakfast is simply a bagel, yogurt and coffee. That’s it. Nonetheless this was an atrocious experience as a whole. Google won’t let you upload the video of me testing all the light switches, so I took a couple pictures of the light switches and I took a picture of the TV guide with zero data. Well just took a shower annnd the tub doesn’t drain properly, see pictures. Also, while leaving I saw a switch that said “master switch” this turned on all the lights. There are no signs telling you to turn this on or anything...seems like that would be something you should tell your guest...like hey you might have to turn on the master switch to get any power for the room buuut no.

We used to live in Gilbert but moved away 8 yrs ago. We happen to be back in for a tournament and knew we loved the area. Both husband and I work remote often at tournaments but the drawback in most hotels room is one desk only and no private area for meetings. However, this hotel has three workstations and many tables with lots of outlets! It wasn’t noisy at all and I was able to take several calls meetings and screen sharing comfortably in the lobby. My kids got to enjoy pool games… what a plus! This was a thoughtful hotel! Pool was small but we don’t really go out to the pools since AZ in general have many water parks. Love having breakfast included as not to worry where to go however this is just down the street from the santan mall and lots of shops nearby. Mesa gateway airport is super close as well about 13 mins! Would recommend and will be back. Room was clean. Love the integrated soap, shampoo and conditioner less waste or bottles but when the soap is down to a certain level it’s difficult to squeeze the soap out near the sink, maybe rethink this or just add more soap for easier squeezing.

This room would be a penthouse suite in New York City, unfortunately we are in the suburbs of Phoenix! Pro: world class customer service, expected hotel amenities such as Tech (WiFi), breakfast (limited with Covid), onsite market, 24 hours Fitness Center, functional lobby with plenty of entertainment and work spaces. Modern chic design with a vibrant color palette! Love the town of Gilbert mural in the lobby. Con: Cozy rooms (small), No closet space whatsoever, some of the interior materials feel cheap such as the plastic look and feel of the floors, small toilets, the shower, and expensive for the size of the room. Overall if you are in a pinch and need a place to stay, this is your hotel. Lastly, they have an app for self checkin and replacing of room keys, unfortunately my app didn’t function as intended for check in. The goal was to check in virtually prior to arriving. I tried to check in and got an error message, check in with the front desk 💆‍♂️

Had an opportunity to stay here for one night as a Mother's Day present from my husband. Ideally, I live 2 minutes away from the hotel & I have seen the progress of the hotel being built from start to finish and have been excited to try out this new place in my beloved town.

I was excited as I knew the concept was taking on a contemporary fun design. I felt the colors and layout were especially welcoming for the guests with families as Gilbert is a family town. I was especially delighted to see the amount of ports to plug in phones, laptops, etc, which is a great design feature for a brand new hotel.

Okay so let's talk about pros and cons.

PROS: fantastically soft beds and sheets love the liquid dispensers in the shower and by the bathroom sink so glad there are no hotel curtains but still have the ability for blackout shade, nice and clean design always love a free breakfast that offers more than just bagels & cereal love the clothing hook design on the wall, ability to lay out outfits for upcoming days By far the best hair conditioner outside of a salon I have used in a hotel

CONS: no hook or hand towel ring by the sink, so do I just throw it on the countertop so it could collect germs? would be fantastic if there was an additional second floating shelf above the toilet for toiletries so they don't litter the bathroom countertop would really like an ice machine to be available on every floor instead of just the first floor. if you're going to offer a breakfast bar that's free and touting an abundance of toppings, you might want to add fresh strawberries and blueberries as an option. To have on top of cereal, oatmeal, waffles or just by itself. Some of us are on a strict diet & cannot eat all the carbohydrates. So currently that just leaves us with eggs and an apple. If the pool is going to be small, please make it more aesthetically pleasing. There is a fence surrounding the pool with a view of the parking lot and the surrounding apartment buildings. Please plant boxwood hedges or ANYTHING on the outside of the fence! all of the hotel staff wear t-shirts. I find this extremely unprofessional. At least upgrade to polo shirts. I understand that Gilbert is a fun family friendly town and things are relaxed here, but if you are part of the hospitality industry you need to promote a more professional attire. there is absolutely no artwork in the rooms! I would love to see some shots of downtown Gilbert, Arizona cacti, local restaurants etc!

I would like to come here more often with my family as a fun change from our house, however I would probably truly enjoy the experience more if all of the above cons were...

This Hotel appeared to be fun and different but and was a new Hilton opening in Gilbert,AZ. I did a night night stay with myself and one other person, after the first night we left for the day, came back to find the room NOT cleaned very well at all - Ex: hair in tub, powder still on floor, makeup dropped and stepped on by accident which caused a black mark not cleaned, sheets not changed. Next morning spoke to Manager Alex Trompke - a young male which seemed like he could care less about our concerns, claimed it would be taken care of, left for day came back to the room now after day 3 and not only was the above nor addressed but no clean wash cloths were left, different hair in shower, the soap dispenser over the sink completely empty and new floor dirt like wrappers of hauls I drop apparently during the night still on the floor. I seen Alex AGAIN the following morning I asked if he followed up he said it’s not his job, it depends on the cleaning crew to get back to him. (Confused look on my face if they didn’t clean to begin with why would they eat themselves out) I asked as the Manger shouldn’t YOU (Alex) be the one to follow up - I was reinsured it was not his job. The next day we left we were promised all kinds of return credit card credits issued to find out THAT was a lie and they insulted me with offering 10k Hilton Points which I WILL NEVER STAT AT ANOTHER HILTON PROPERTY so points were useless to me. This wasn’t the gist Hilton issue iced experience- The Hilton line is totally out of control with FILT !! Please go to a different chain before you since into a Hilton vacation My brother travels for work is a Diamond club Hilton member because of his company’s choice and has a portfolio of FILTY rooms thru out different states of Hilton properties From New Mexico, California, Colorado Dprings, and the list goes on Take this as a person who cares and wants the word to get out HILTON IS NOT YOUR HOME AWSY FROM HOME. TRU by Hilton in Gilbert is going to go down fast with managers they have working there not caring about...
