UPDATE TO OWNERS REPONSE: Please provide the footage of the area that the bystander walked through followed with a clip of staff completing a proper cleanup before children utilized the area. IT DOES NOT EXIST. She infected the entire gymnastics area and multiple restrooms looking for soap.
ā ļø DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE ā UNSAFE AND NEGLIGENT FACILITY THAT NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN ā ļø
As a concerned member of the community, I feel morally obligated to warn other families about the extreme and unacceptable conditions at KTR Glendale. This facility is a hazard to children and a textbook example of gross mismanagement and negligence. What I witnessed and later confirmed from othersā experiences should be enough to close this facility down permanently.
Here is what every parent and guardian needs to know:
āø»
ā 1. No Supervision of Kids in Key Areas
The staff are not actively supervising the trampoline zones or other high-risk areas as they are supposed to. Children are left to roam and play unsupervised in potentially dangerous environments with no trained staff intervening, preventing, or even observing unsafe behavior. This facility behaves like a drop-off daycare with zero accountability.
āø»
ā 2. Serious Injury ā Childās Femur Snapped & Bone Pierced Through the Skin
A child recently broke his femur in the trampoline area, and the injury was horrifying ā the bone broke through the skin, leaving the trampoline covered in blood. This would be a traumatic event anywhere, but what followed was even more disturbing.
āø»
ā 3. Improper, Unsafe Biohazard Cleanup
Instead of calling a professional hazmat or biohazard cleaning service (which is standard protocol for bloodborne pathogen spills), a young female employee was forced to clean up the blood using a spray bottle of bleach ā WITH NO GLOVES. This is not only a severe OSHA violation, itās a horrifying breach of safety for both the employee and every other child in the facility. Blood cleanup requires proper gear, training, and disposal, not a teenager with household bleach.
āø»
ā 4. Staff Were Untrained and Unprepared for Emergency
During the emergency, staff had no idea what to do. There was no internal communication system ā no walkie-talkies, radios, or leadership response. Staff were visibly confused, and many appeared to panic or just wander away. No emergency protocol was followed, which further endangered the injured child and everyone around.
āø»
ā 5. Parents Are Allowed to Drop Off and Leave ā Treated Like a Daycare
KTR allows parents to drop off their children and leave the premises, creating a free-for-all environment where no one is ultimately accountable. This is not a structured or safe environment for unsupervised minors. The facility acts like itās a proper childcare center, but without any of the necessary systems or staffing in place to support that function.
āø»
ā 6. Blood from a Bystander Spread Throughout the Facility
In an attempt to help the injured child, a bystander became covered in blood and unknowingly tracked it through multiple areas of the facility ā including the trampoline zone, bathrooms, and walkways. Shockingly, no one cleaned these areas afterward. Children and staff continued to interact with surfaces that were visibly contaminated, exposing everyone to potential bloodborne pathogens and serious health risks. This further illustrates the complete lack of biohazard awareness or emergency response training at this facility.
āø»
KTR Glendale is dangerously mismanaged, horribly understaffed, and completely unprepared for emergencies. The fact that it is still operating in these conditions is shocking. Until the facility is overhauled with new leadership, certified safety protocols, professional emergency training, and proper sanitation procedures, this place is not safe for any child or family.
ā ļø Please, parents ā do not bring your children here. You are risking their health and safety.
š£ Management ā you should be ashamed. The public will not stay silent.
š Local authorities ā investigate this facility...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBEFORE BOOKING HERE, READ ALL THE REVIEWS WITH LOW STARS. IF I HAD, WE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SO SURPRISED BY THE TREATMENT, BEHAVIORS OF STAFF, OR THE STATE OF THE FACILITY. ITS NOT WORTH IT.
Absolutely the worst experience of my life for what was promised to be an "easy" birthday party. First- we booked this place (and was so excited when speaking with staff) because of the ninja course and zip line. We also thought it was great because they promised a toddler zone for my 2 year old niece. These attractions are why paying almost $700 seemed worth it. Not once did they tell us that they demolished the toddler zone to add MORE party tables to an already incredibly tight filled party area. The worse part, the zip line is broke and they "don't think it would be back". Not one person respected our party or $700 payment enough to let us know the promised accommodations wouldn't be met.
In the dodge ball area, we had 16 kids under 10 years old being PELTED in the face by kids over 15 years old. Some were kicked and pushed down. When we brought it to the GM attention, he said that it happens in Dodgeball and threatened to kick us out for saying "bad words".
So I took my kids to the bike ramp area- once again- big kids pushing kids down and telling them to leave or go away.
There is NO reasonable supervision. They have little high-school kids watching and were over heard saying they were ignoring us because they were sick of us complaining. So sorry my kids being assaulted didn't tickle your fancy.
The only saving grace was our server who was attentive, kind, and very transparent. We will not use this place again and will ensure to spread the message. Hopefully, this review is met with consideration of ALL your future clients and implemention of better supervision, training and safety lessons...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSTAY AWAY, PATRON SAFETY IS NO CONCERN!!! First & last time visiting this place. Is this place fun for the kids? Absolutely. I would love to be playing in there if I were still a child. However, as a parent, I am in no way every coming back to this place. I understand kids are excited and run around, and accidents happen. But it is the complete and total negligence of the staff that has convinced me to never step foot in this establishment again. First, I am pretty sure not a single staff member was over the age of 20. Therefore, these 20 year somethings, do not have the same innate sense of awareness and responsibility of someone a little older. While visiting this place for a birthday party on May 11th, 2024, we encountered numerous failures by this staff. #1- The lack of security at the entrance, as the front gate is open to anyone to come in and out. I mean, the world we live in today, this would be easy for a child predator. #2- As you will see in the video posted, the staff just seems to do whatever they want, such as whipping a football around your little tikes for at least 30 minutes. Not sure if they are on the clock or not, but this shouldn't be taking place with a bunch of kids running around. Which also brings me back to the point of there is nobody on staff over 20 years of age that even would care. #3- When another child smacked their head into my childs mouth, and there was blood running out of her mouth while she screamed for me, not a single staff member offered any aide. NOTHING! No ice, no helping her to the side, no support for her whatsoever. And she was clearly seen, visibly and audibly, by everyone else. This place is a joke. Until new management comes here, we will never be back. You've all...
