The park itself is lovely—big, open, and perfect for walking your dog before heading into the designated dog areas. It’s well-maintained and offers a great space for dogs to stretch their legs and socialize. 🐾 However, the experience is often ruined by some of the people who frequent the park. I have a small dog, and on multiple occasions, owners of large dogs have approached with their dogs off-leash, insisting “he’s nice.” That may be true for them, but it’s irresponsible to assume every dog or owner feels safe around unleashed, unfamiliar dogs—especially when there’s a size difference. One particularly troubling incident involved a woman with a pitbull who decided to use the small dog side of the park because the large side was crowded. She let her dog off-leash, and it ran straight toward me and my small dog. Thankfully, I was able to pick up my dog in time, but when I expressed concern, she acted offended. That kind of entitlement and disregard for others’ safety is unacceptable. ⚠️ If you visit, please respect the rules and other dog owners. Leash your dog when appropriate, and don’t assume everyone shares your comfort level. The park could be a great place for all dogs—big and small—if everyone practiced a little more...
Read moreIt's been a long time since I've taken my four fur babies to the dog park.. we used to go all the time to the rosemoffer dog park it was our favorite unfortunately I discovered tonight it is closed so we ended up over at this particular dog park which I didn't really like at all ... it was dark, there were really no lights and I was afraid to walk on the grass area because I saw a dog go to the bathroom and nobody picked it up so I didn't want to step in anything since I couldn't see unless I had a flashlight .. there were too many dogs .... Only one one place to sit and that was taken ... I can imagine in the daytime it would be super hot because there are no shade trees.. the small dog side is very small and the large dog side is very large ... just because the dogs are small doesn't mean they don't require or need a large space to run around in ... I certainly hope Rose mofford will open up again sometime in the...
Read moreWow. Such a great place. I met alot of new people that I just know are going to part of my life moving forward. The park it self has everything a dog park should have, minus grass. It is hard to keep up on grass here in the desert. So it is to be expected. But the sand and the place itself is very clean, a job taken on by those of us with dogs who use the park. It has a place for a dog to get a drink and plenty of room for them to run and jump and play. Let's ask Rover what he thought... Rover how do you like the park today? " Bark, barkbark baarrrk!" Well there you have it folks right from the horses -- err -- dogs mouth. To your ears. He said he loves this dog park and wants to know when we will return. He has his eye on a golden retriever...
