Yet another update 🤣 6/25/25

Bummer the dude was in such a bad mood last night. We added 5 bucks to the carry out order to be nice. Thought they would be nicer. Is that not enough tip on a carry out? Hmm. Idk. Some people dont tip at all on carry out! Maybe times have changed? Lol! But anyway! He was rude when husband asked for more side sauce stating that we have to pay (duh). Went home and the veg pizza was missing the added pineapple. And they charge for each and every one ofc. 🙄 even though we took OFF one (bell pep. It was taken off properly) gotta charge extra for the pineapple they fail to add on the pizza! 😆 Just like the extra dipping sauce charge! (Whoever decided ONE cup is enough for an entire order of breadsticks is a silly vanilly)

Sauce on NY style was the proper amount finally anyway!! 😩 😂 win some lose some.

Ahh, i love this place and hate to say anything negative, but worth sharing so they know. The last 2 times we ordered, we got the NY style pizza. Idk if it's just this style? But last time, it had like ZERO sauce. So I was like hmmm okay maybe that's just how this kind is made. So this time, I selected "extra sauce" when ordering and the same exact thing. Hardly any sauce at all. In fact, I think there's less than last time 😬 so plz plz up the sauce just a tad? 🥲 it tastes like just cheese and dough. Otherwise, it's always been fantastic! Have ordered from here for years.

ALSO - to the ppl leaving bad reviews due to delivery fees and cost. MAKE DINNER AT HOME. We are recovering from a pandemic. Yes, costs are high. But they do NOT hide them in any way, shape, or form. Usually, their food is really good. The last ~10 days though? I'm amazed I haven't gotten sick.

They have done something - changed the cheese, or their food prep (maybe the grease? I can still taste it on my lips, even after using napkins) - that actually tastes like garbage. Not 'bad', like literal garbage. It makes a $15+ pizza worth a couple of dollars. Imagine getting a $5.99 large pizza from Little Ceasars, and it being a substancial upgrade from this. I thought it was a one-off issue when I was basically gagging from the flavor/taste a week ago, but I just threw out another medium NY-style pizza because it's not a single occurance. Ugh, gross.

Which is really frustrating - PJ is my go-to place for a basic pizza, and with Domino's having gone downhill the last couple of years (also impacting taste and quality), I guess the only option is Pizza Hut, which isn't great either. And independent places usually don't deliver, forcing me to look at other places, other food types, or other delivery options - leading to higher costs and unknown food quality. This PJ was quite reliable and... let's say at an 'acceptable' price (they are making like 80% markup vs the ingredients, from people who are in the business; that's why they can offer 'discounts' year-round). But now I've wasted over $40 on two pizzas a week+ apart that both taste like they came straight from the dumpster behind the building. I dunno about you, but $40 is a lot of...

If I could give zero for the service we just got, I would.

It’s always been a toss in the dark if we get good pizza or not. We have gotten incredible pizza from this place and the worst ever. It’s the only one the app lets us order from since we can’t choose the location. This time We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and it arrived completely burnt. Somehow though, it was burnt only on the crust and the rest was underdone and chewy. Either way, we took one bite and had to stop eating it. We called to get a new pizza and was greeted by horrible customer service. At first we were on hold for close to 10 mins for some reason, then we hung up and called back and they answered. The guy didn’t give us his name but he sounded like he was put off from the very beginning. We told him we just wanted a new pizza and we wanted make sure it wouldn’t be messed up if we try again, he ignored us, just repeated the time it would be there and literally hung up on us. We were going to give the pizza another chance but we really did not like the customer service so far. So we called back to get a return. When he heard it was us, he didn’t say anything and put us on hold for awhile. We finally got our return and we went to the other papa johns nearby and got excellent service.
