D J's Auto Electrics Inc — Attraction in Gloucester City

I just picked up my "98 Taurus from DJ's. After being told by Winner Ford that I would have to replace my entire AC system at $1,600 to correct a intermittent fan switch issue, I had Dereck take a look at it and turns out the the blower motor was the intermittent problem and $150 later i'm back in business. This is the second time Dereck has come through for me. I had a friend that had and older Tauaus that had an electrical short in the radio that caused the battery to run down. A local mechanic replaced $2K worth of electrical parts and did not find the problem. I took her to DJ's and $85 later he located the short and solved the problem. I had a top notch mechanic tell me many years ago that electrical issues were the most difficult for him even after many years of experience repairing cars. Dereck has proven his expertise and his ability to handle this difficult area. I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so in the future. He's also an honest, fair and nice person...

Not satisfied at all took my van to him it was running great but engine light would not go off he charged me almost 300.00 dollars for a problem that two other mechanics said if that was the true problem the van would not have been running great in the first place he reset the engine light and sent me on my way before I got back home engine light came back on took van back to him he kept it for a couple of weeks then called me and said not only could he not find the problem van is running worst then it was when I bought it to him what ever he did 500 some dollars later from another shop van was running great again but engine light still on said I needed Catalytic converter $600 later then is running fine engine light is off has inspection looks like if D J's would have suggested Catalytic converter in the 1st place would have saved me a lot of time and money and aggravation thanks a lot D j's I guess you know I won't be back and will not be suggesting new...

Husband and I have had our cars and trucks serviced here at least 2x each within the last 2 years, quality of work, good. Personnel friendly. Prices good. As far as mechanic trustworthyiness, good. Last experience was not good at all and since they couldn't guarantee 💯 repair, I went elsewhere. Let's just say my car was running when I drove it there for repairs and had to have it towed from there to different mechanical shop. My car barely moved 1 full tire rotation let alone off their premises. Very disappointed as well as frustrated and agitated...and of course they denied responsibility since it's obvious a part/piece that wasn't...
