This tour deserves 5 star but I am giving it 4 just because of of the disgusting food served on board.
I purchased a Groupon worth $50 which included the entry for two. Do check Groupon before making a direct purchase on their website.
Parking: There is a lot of parking space with gas station right in front of the location so if you are driving from far, you don't have to worry about finding the gas station.
Boarding: They start boarding the vessel 30 minutes before the departure but you can enter even at the last minute. If you are late you will miss the instructions which are important especially if this is your first time on a vessel sailing in ocean. Do take a med in case you feel sea sickness.
Vessel capacity: There is enough space in the vessel to accommodate everyone and you will end up moving from one end to another to look for whales. So don't worry about seating space. There are washrooms available on vessel.
Crew- The crew members are educated and super polite. They really made our tour pleasant with all their additional information and instructions. Love the crew.
Tour: we started at 1 pm and were back by 4 pm. It takes approximately 45 to sail to destination. Make sure that you check the weather before you schedule the ticket. For us it was a cloudy day so sea was rough than usual and it was gloomy. But It was a good experience. It got a bit cold and fortunately we had our jackets. Make sure you carry a jacket with you. FOOD: Do not buy anything to eat in the vessel. Its obvious that they will charge 4-5 times the cost. Even then the food is total TRASH. I am not sure how the person selling this garbage continues to look into the mirror everyday after serving trash to his customers. They can surely replace that guy with a vending machine. We purchased mac and cheese and that was awful. I realized something is horribly wrong when i took my first bite. I felt like puking. So don't buy anything to eat on board. Instead bring something to eat so you will not only save money but can make sure that you are eating right. In case you still plan to buy have some cash since they don't take cards as a form of payment.
Tour- Great Crew: Awesome. Don't forget to TIP them since they are doing an awesome job. Food- Horrible

Read moreCape Ann did a nice job for their whale watching tour. The staff were knowledgable and friendly. The process for buying tickets was easy, and quick, and we picked up tickets at the gift shop when we arrived. Plenty of parking for the tour. The boat and gift shop were handicap accessible but not the bathroom. Theres 4 clean bathrooms on the boat, but Someone would have to get out of their wheelchair and walk over a lip to get into the bathroom. Also the toilets were higher than usual, having to stand on your tippy toes to sit on the throne. There were two Bathroom port o potties in parking lot, also not wheelchair accessible. Indoor covered seating as well as outdoor - along side front and back and upper deck seating. There was hot food inside for sale, cash only, and a bar serving alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.
The water was a bit choppy on 9/10/24 but we knew that going in and took some dramamine before hand. We rode out far north, almost parallel to hampton beach, it was about a 4 ish (close to 5 hour)hour boat ride. The ride was beautiful and saw many lighthouses, islands, and houses. We saw dolphins first, then some people saw a shark, then we saw humpback whales. They made many attempts for everyone to see the whales. We only had two complaints, and one was more of a preference. The speaker in the back of the boat didnt work, so we couldnt hear anything they were saying. Second complaint…We thought they were borderline harassing the whales, just so they could get to the whales quick enough for us to see them. We were almost competing with another boat, to see who could get to them the fastest, and therefore, not being good to the wildlife in the process. But it was a great ride, and the staff were friendly. They definitely try to make sure you see whales and dolphins or you get a free ticket to come back a different day, as its outside of their control. The tour was definitely...

I need to start the story by saying we left home on time. According to our schedule we were suppose to arrive to Cape Ann Whale between 8 am to 8:15 am., it was a very rainy day. The long drive started wonderfully smooth when all of the sudden we hit traffic. It was an accident, one unfortunate accident. I hope the people involved in the accident are doing well. Anyways, this accident caused a delay on our trip of nearly an hour. Fortunately Cape Ann Whale Watch opens at 7am. We were really hoping they will answer the phone at that early hour. As soon as I dialed their number they answered the phone. We gave them an update of our where abouts on I-95 N. At that point our GPS showed we were running three minutes behind schedule. I explained this to Rose who was very courteous and understanding of our situation and encouraged us to just keep driving and to keep them updated of our travel time and so we did. We were late by exactly three minutes. All the pasagers were on board captain was ready to take on the see, the courteous staff were waiting for us and showed us the way. As soon as we went on the boat it took off. The experience was wonderful! My husband was in charge of putting the heavy bag in the car and he forgot it home...hahaha our rain jacket, rain ponchos and towels were all in the bag. Lucky for us the boat sells ponchos, hot nice coffee and all kinds of little goodies. The staff are very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. We spotted the whale named Owl. We had a wonderful family experience. Cape Ann whale watch exceeded our expectations. Thank you Cape Ann...
