I recently had a highly disappointing experience at this theater while attending the Beyonce movie/performance. As a devoted Beyonce fan, I was excited to see the show and decided to take a few selfies and boomerangs before it started, intending to share my enthusiasm with friends. However, my excitement quickly turned into frustration when a security guard approached me and rudely informed me that recording was illegal. I immediately complied and stopped using my phone altogether.
To my astonishment, the same security guard later accused me of recording the show using my electric wheelchair's joystick control panel. I calmly explained to him that my wheelchair was simply a means of mobility and had no recording capabilities whatsoever. Despite my efforts to clarify the situation, he persisted in his baseless accusations. This unnecessary scrutiny made me feel humiliated and singled out.
To make matters worse, the security guard returned once again, this time accompanied by a manager. Both of them stared at my wheelchair as if they had never seen one before. It was disheartening to witness their ignorance and lack of understanding. My wheelchair is a standard electric model with a joystick and a few buttons for seat adjustments. There are no extravagant screens or any features that could be mistaken for a recording device. It was clear that their assumptions were unfounded and unjust.
When I requested a refund due to the distressing treatment I had endured, the manager callously dismissed my concerns, stating that they were merely doing their job and treating everyone the same way. This response was not only dismissive but also failed to acknowledge the embarrassment and discomfort I had experienced. It was evident that customer satisfaction and empathy were not priorities for this establishment.
I am grateful that the theater was empty during this incident, sparing me from further embarrassment in front of other patrons. However, this does not excuse the unprofessional behavior and lack of respect shown towards me. As a paying customer, I expected to be treated with dignity and courtesy, regardless of my disability or the assumptions made by the staff.
In light of this distressing encounter, I strongly advise against visiting this theater. The lack of sensitivity, understanding, and customer service exhibited by the security guard and manager is unacceptable. I hope that my negative experience serves as a reminder for the theater to reevaluate their staff training and prioritize inclusivity and respect for...
Read moreUpdate; Upon returning to this theater on or about 12/1/2019, I had a 180 degree experience that was very accommodating. TY Regal for paying attention to your reviews.
Nice little theater, but over-priced. The matinee movie I saw today was $9:40 Senior rate actually. Chairs are kinda small and do not allow that Lazy Boy chair we are getting used to at many theaters. I reviewed this theater for the following reason. I bought a small bag of Cheetos/pop corn. Usually a pretty good product. But today, it was obvious to me that the bag I got was stale and likely from the prior day. I was seeing the first showing of the day-hence that batch should've been hot and fresh. It was neither. The kid I spoke with when I returned with half a bag was no help, but he tried. The female manager standing right behind him offered no fresh bag, adjustment, nor any apologies. I will go back, but I only came to this location because of this food product-which today was sub-standard and not fresh or hot, barely warm. Not what I expect for about $8.00. Transaction # 1786715/1 As a follow-up and also to show you guys to see how reviews are absolutely fake... You'll see that management responded to at least one in particular of a 5-star rating. That reviewer had not a single note indicating that their experience was anecdotal. Their responses are a "canned" generic review with a solicitation. Yet here it is almost three weeks later and my review (i showed the transaction no.) hasn't even received a comment, apology or maybe just a "trust me we're going to make sure it's...
Read moreThe picture show is a much better option. Cheaper, better seats, better food. I went there (on the first day, for the first 3d screening time) and they were out of the event cups and popcorn buckets. They also said the butter beer icee had just gone into defrost mode so we couldn’t get that either. The whole reason my fiance and I went there. One of the employees said, “well our first screening had 100 people in it.” Even assuming that all 100 people that showed to it had purchased the cups and popcorn buckets (which I find doubtful) it is a little ridiculous that they would have sold out that fast. I would be curious to know who was in charge of ordering/distributing them because I feel like that is a huge oversight and they should have ordered much more than that. For an event that is lasting weeks, I would have figured that they would order a whole lot more than that. Imagine knowing that customers are going to want it (it being Harry Potter merch and all) and not being well prepared. As a company they could have made a whole lot of money from people that would have been happy to spend money on something like that. Huge disappointment and waste of time. Go to picture show if they have the movie you want to see. Much better all around. I do wish there was more competition here for movie theaters and then maybe the regal here would step...
