I wanted to introduce my three children to Texas over spring break and I was very disappointed after choosing a non smoking room and still my room smelled like smoke. My children have asthma. They moved me and my children to another room up higher and it was better but still it too smelled like smoke with burn holes in the bedding. The female management told me they could have put a machine in our room to help the smoke smell because smoking rooms were below us. But instead moved us. Which was inconvenient with a two year old. Never again! I was really disappointed to find out that none of the rooms contained a microwave. Just a refrigerator! Where does this happen at???? All hotel rooms have microwaves. The shelves in the fridge were broken so we weren't able to refrigerate much. Couldn't bring back any left overs because we didn't have a microwave. The only microwave was in the main lobby and that was a good distance away from the room. Our television shut off at 3am in the morning which prompted me to call the front desk and they told me to wiggle the plastic around the screen and unplug it then replug it. Very frustrating!. The price wasn't cheap enough for what we received. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean and neat. Very little bedding and very thin bedding too. Also management did nothing about freeloaders through the night and day asking the guests to drop them off at work or panhandling for money. Permanent guests were very loud and inconsiderate of others during late night hours as well. Very noisy and our car alarms kept going off because of all the movement in the parking lot. We were afraid to get in and out of the car due to so many eyes watching our every move. Loud music played through the night and loud talking and screaming through the night. This made it hard to rest. Which is why I knew the tv went off at 3am, because I couldn't sleep.
This facility would be better if management would be more attentive and considerate of their out of town guests. Besides they're in a great spot to do great things especially with 6 flags minutes away. But this can't happen if they don't change...
Read moreWorst hotel of my entire life. Never got a password for the wifi. Tried to call the front desk, phone just rang. I would have went out to visit the front desk, but there were loud, drunk, suspicious people outside, plus it's after midnight, I didn't want to risk my life over a password. The bathroom clearly smelled of marijuana. There was snot on the bathroom door, yes actual nasal snot smeared on the door. The bed itself felt like laying on partical board along with 2 old stained flat pillows. I have a bad back and bad knees. Again, tried to called front desk for extra pillows but no answer. Was in incredible pain when I woke up, and I have a long day ahead of me to feel this miserable. The loud drunk misbehaved people stayed outside yelling and making noises well past 4am. I am surprised no one else tried to get them to shut up since no one can get a hold of the front desk. And their room was right above ours. And at exactly 8am, they were running around, stomping, even fell on the floor multiple times. Went to front office to complain about the entirety of my stay. All they said was "I'm sorry". Didnt make it right, didn't comp a room, nothing. The sad thing is I have to stay here again next week. I have no choice in the matter because someone else reserved the room for me. But if I had made the reservations, I would have splurged a few extra dollars for a better, safe, clean, more comfortable room. After next week's visit, I am never coming to this place again. I almost want to cancel my plans next week BECAUSE I know I have to stay here again. I could have slept in my car and got more sleep and felt safer, that is how bad this place is. I would only recommend this place to put revenge on...
Read moreI was in Texas to help a friend move and had flown in from CA with my Son. Our reservations were complicated. I found that when I called to add another night for two rooms, that it went very easily and that my confirming e-mails were quickly sent. Overall, the room looked clean but there was an unpleasant odor in the room when first walking in. The odor was there throughout my stay and only got better when the AC was on. I kept it on the entire stay, even when not in my room. Other than the odor, I found a cigarate burn in the bed spread and it appeared to have many stains on it.. I went to turn on the TV and found that the back of the remote was missing and the tape that had been used to keep the batteries in was gone. Needless to say, the batteries kept popping out. When I went to use the phone, it was filthy. I would not use it, it was so disgusting. I noticed that the room had a refrigerator. One night I brought leftovers back from dinner. I made sure that the controls were turned up and that it was plugged in. Put my food in and went to bed. Next morning, discovered refrigerator didn't work..Why have a refrigerator in room? The sink would not drain quickly. I could look in the drain because the plunger was missing. I noticed that the drain was full of hair and who knows what else. I told the manager and was told sorry.. I hope that it was fixed for the next guest. The parking lot was very messy. Motel 6 is not my choice of places to stay. The reservations had been made by my friend and so I felt like I needed to stay there. Grand Prairie was just one of the towns we stayed in at a Motel 6 as we...
