The only good thing about this hotel would be the location if you plan to be in the Arlington, TX area. But then again, there are several hotels in this area. We hosted our 22nd family reunion at this hotel. The list of issues with this hotel are as follows: They changed sales management at least 3 times in a 2 1/2 year span and, and through this process they CHANGED OUR CONTRACT and then lied about it. They never contacted us and mentioned the changes either, then left it to us to try and sort out all the paperwork and bring the new manager up to speed each time.
Their website says they have a shuttle for airport pick up/ drop off but the times are a lie, and I am not sure I even saw a shuttle at all. We ended up just renting 2 passenger vans to make sure we could get everyone picked up instead of dealing with shady lies and conflict. They put 80+ people in a very small room (capacity limit of 25) even though they knew to prepare for at least 110-120 people, AND that room had a broken A/C system during 106 degree Texas weather! The maintenance man was literally in the room with the A/C ducts open trying to figure out the issue, all while we checked-in family for our reunion and ate lunch. All while being crammed in a tiny/ hot room. It was a mess and embarrassing.
Our reunion dates were from the 3rd to 6th and they knew the dates of our reunion. It was all listed in the contract, but they gave family trouble with breakfast on day one of the reunion (the morning of the 3rd). Even though they paid the $155+ tax per night and should have gotten breakfast anyway, reunion or not, because we were initially told that was the rate with breakfast!!! So I think we were duped into paying for breakfast AND they charged all of the guest for breakfast with their stay. But the kicker is, after called and sorting it all out, they said we are going to "go ahead and honor it, but if anyone else comes, they will be denied".
We asked for 2 complimentary rooms for the Texas hosts who encouraged over 90+ family members to book at this hotel verses staying anywhere else. We were told we needed to spend at least $5,000 on food and beverage to get 1 room, well we spent $10,000+ and the manager would not budge at all on helping us get 1 more room for dad. He said it simply could not happy. And even chuckled like we were asking for a lot.
We had an elderly/ disabled family member (whom is fighting cancer) locked out of her room and away from her medication, over a hotel technicality. She tired to pay with a prepaid card and they let her swipe SIX TIMES before asking "what type of card/ payment method is this". Only to tell her they cannot accept a prepaid card. Well the money still came off and took days after the 4 day reunion to come back. All could have been avoided if they had only confirmed everything before locking her out and just reviewed the payment method with guest prior to charging.
It was reported front desk hung up in family members faces, the rooms were DUSTY and HOT (a/c was broken). And I am talking dust from weeks/ months time, not a few days. Furniture had stains on it, they did not vacuum the rooms at all, who knows if they actually changed the bed sheets. Some rooms did not have a working phone, there was no luggage stands, refrigerators were broken or missing, drawers were broken. One room had the fridge sitting in a random corner of the room versus where the refrigerator was supposed to be. We had tiny trash cans and the cleaning staff never threw away food containers, so family had to carry trash down to the lobby or flag down a maid in the hall. Pools were dirty, the glasses and silverware was dirty in the hotel restaurant (had obvious lipstick and mouth mark on it). We got fussed at for bringing in outside food but when we ordered pizza for everyone from the hotel restaurant for our game night, the pizzas were burnt to a black crisp.
I honestly would not even stay at this hotel for a personal stay. The pillows were flat and the bed are as hard. The ball was...
Read moreWell we stayed at the Hilton Arlington in Arlington Texas. I will start by saying this, all Hiltons are not all created equally. We have been staying at Hiltons for decades and they have a standard! This place shouldn’t be called a Hilton. Let’s start with or recent stay which was February 2025. We were there to visit my mom who’s battling cancer. The hotel was absolutely dirty! When we checked into our room there was garbage in our room from the previous guest. We had an AC vent that was literally coming apart because there were bolts on the floor. We left the hotel to see family and 7 hour’s later we returned to a screw that was on the bathroom’s floor which was pointing straight up ready for a barefoot to cause harm. Luckily one of us missed it, but not so lucky for the other person. I called the front desk and asked to speak with the manager. I shared what happened with our room and how disappointed we were as guests. He offered to move us to a new room. Supposedly an higher upgrade then we already had, but it wasn’t the room was a little bigger. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel was terrible! When we ate down there we saw hookers in the establishment trying to connect with male guest in the hotel it was disgusting and just wrong. We reported to the front desk, but the ladies there were in a deep conversation and really didn’t want to be bothered. Another Epic fail! We were there for 5 nights. I went to work out and the pool area had water all over the floor before you walk into the gym area. Once entering it was dirty and the equipment was old and out dated and didn’t work! The only thing that saved me was the free weights! The elevator had the metal door edge exposed to have someone get injured and some of the buttons didn’t work so you never knew if you were going to your floor or not! And then the last night was the icing on the cake! We come back after a long day of dealing with doctors appointment with family etc. We enter our room and it hasn’t been cleaned at all! I called downstairs and the customer service was a “F” the lady gave me massive attitude like it was my fault! I asked why, my room wasn’t cleaned and she say, you have to call downstairs for daily service, I said ma’am we’ve been here for 5 nights and our room has been cleaned everyday with out me calling down once! She goes well sir, I don’t know I can put in a request for your room to be cleaned! I replied we leave tomorrow so that won’t help anyone at this point! Once again with all the damn attitude, I replied can we at least get some damn clean towels to shower and she says let me see what, I can do sir! Finally a cleaning lady comes to our room. I shared with her what had happened and she goes do you remember the person name, I responded no, and she says, I know who it is and I’m so sorry, she’s very rude to clients. This was at 11:30 pm at night. She kept apologizing to me for the terrible events that occurred. Do yourself a huge favor and stay anywhere else besides The Hilton in Arlington because they have bad management and the manager told me they’re going through new management and changes all that is are excuses! TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE,...
Read moreI have been staying at this hotel for the past 20 years. Been through 3 renovations so far, and the 4th renovation is currently ongoing, various floors, various locations around the hotel.|||In my room 1516, the rain outside was coming inside through the windows, with the resulting wet carpet on the inside, and standing water puddling all around all window frames.|||The window tint was separating from the glass on all windows.|||I had two Queen beds. One of them had "thread-bare" sheets. The headboards were "old style" late 80's - with the cloth nailed around the surround with large round tacks.||The bathroom was adequate, clean.|||One problem in this room (and others that I visited), is that the management changed the lamps in the room, so now the base of the new lamps, has no power outlets. Matter of fact there is only "one" outlet in the main living area that is usable for computers, etc. There is another outlet in the bathroom. Not adequate !||FYI, I was assigned two (actually three) different rooms, each of which I rejected after entry. . . . .In room 309, there were actually three missing light bulbs. When I tried to call housekeeping, I discovered that the telephone was not connected at all.||So back downstairs, get a new room, room 904. Back up to 904, and as I was in the hallway approaching the room, the ice machine's (one room away) compressor was screaming so loud, it could be heard behind the door. Not conducive to sleep and rest. In my Hilton preferences (or "folio), I specifically request "no ice machine, no elevator"), and mentioned such at check-in.||The "RBar" inside the hotel was clean and fun as usual, and the bartender was great! Breakfast was basic and good for a quick bite before departure - only did the buffet, not order off of the menu.||The hotel housekeeping staff was superb as usual, these ladies work hard at all times, and do a great job with what they are given.||Don't count on the "Hotel Van ride" to the airport or ride to any local location (nearby restaurants, ball park, etc. Van guy didn't come to work the day of my stay, and unreliable for the airport ride the next morning, since I needed an 0800 departure to DFW, but the van guy doesn't come to work until 0800, so it was an $80 Uber ride to the airport for me because of the uncertainty.||The front desk staff was very nice, friendly and very inexperienced, to the point of business was hindered, and everything took extra long time to get done - room changes, etc. Again not acceptable.||Also of note, at various times during my 20 hour stay, I had a need to phone the front desk, or housekeeping, or wake-up call. Nobody ever answered - ever ! Not good.|(Hotel was not full or busy or otherwise, in fact the opposite, the place was pretty empty.||I cannot advise my fellow travelers to use the Arlington Hilton, until, 1) the renovations are complete (wet carpets in the room unacceptable), and 2) the lack of some kind of experienced staff at the front desk is resolved. ||A disappointing visit for sure, and after 20 + years of staying here I have seen it all, and I just cannot recommend based on the recent experience of the...
