There was one cashier today for a line of 6-8 people until the customer service counter opened. When I was next in line to put my groceries on the belt, I noticed a person with their hands full behind me, so I told them I would go to the counter so they could put their items down on the belt. I get to the counter and realize that I might be pushing it on the '10 items or less' policy, so I apologized as soon as I got to the counter. As the cashier was bagging, she reminded me that the counter was for 10 items or less. I apologized again and explained that I was trying to be considerate to the person behind me and didn't even think to count my items first. She then came out from behind the counter and around to get my things because 'she didn't have a belt,' and then very literally tossed my bagged groceries back to me. At least it was the bag with the Oreos and not the bag with the glass bottle of kombucha I suppose? The spectacle felt a bit like overkill. I got home I looked at my receipt... 14 items. I am aware that I should have counted my groceries first!!! But chastising me and tossing my bagged groceries at me after apologies for having 4 too many items is... disappointing. Brenda, in the future, please consider how far a little...
Read moreI went to Family Fare today to stock up before heading into the weekend. I was standing in line while I watched a customer approach an employee in the express lane. The customer said “I know I have 11 items and not 10, but since you’re open and these other lines are super long can I please check out here.” The employee very rudely says “CAN YOU READ?? TEN ITEMS!” and proceeded to walk away from the customer. Another employee, who I’m assuming was the other employees friend, opens another register for the customer. I continued to watch expecting an apology on the other employees behalf. To my surprise an apology did not come. To make matters worse, she checks her out and then coughed on the customers receipt, clearly on purpose, and handed it to her. The customer looked very shocked and just walked away. I mentioned it to my cashier who did not seem concerned. With all that is currently going on in the world health wise, they should be ashamed of themselves. Family Fare absolutely lost a customer today. I’m not talking about the customer that was rudely treated, I’m talking about myself. I was disgusted by that behavior and will...
Read moreUsually I don't have any issues at this location but my cashier was unfriendly and kinda' rude. She slammed my sparkling ice's into the bag down on the counter! I also asked her not to put them all in one bag which would have made them heavier than need be. Everyone knows you treat that type of item with care because slamming them just makes them go flat! She barely spoke to me and at the end of my order she hands me my receipt and says...here you go. No thank you...have a good night...nothing. She didn't even slide my groceries down...and she started the next order before I could get my things off the belt and out of the way. I would have appreciated a little common courtesy. I know at the end of the night you want to be done...but not until your last guest leaves. I give the store 5 stars but the...
