This park meets the Canal Park at the south end, separated by the Sixth Street Bridge. There's a gazebo and picnic tables scattered around. Nice flowers near the gazebo. There are some outdoor exercise equipment both at this park and Canal Park. Starting from this park, you can head all the way to the north of the Canal Park for a nice walk/bike along a paved trail. Finally, there's a lookout at the south end that often has a few people fishing and some in the river. Edit: Added pictures June 2023.

This a nice park along the river. Shady with picnic tables in nice locations. It’s a good place to walk or to walk your dog. I think restrooms are available but I didn’t see or use on this visit. On this visit, one or two persons had encamped in a small pavilion near the river in what looked like a long term residence with belonging spread out everywhere and just sleeping around the tables — a definite damper on family use in that area. But it’s mostly a wholesome place to be.

Went to 6th Street Park to check out the world of winter but also realize it's a pretty neat little space, Love all the artwork all over and there are so many nice shops close by that you could walk to on a nice little day out to the city! Really enjoyed the installations they had up this year.

This place is a definite must see! You can fish the river, and they have a fish cleaning station as well as bathrooms. I've been visiting this place for, well, every since I was a kid and I've been bringing my kids for twenty years and counting. In all my visits only had one that was not great. There was a young couple smoking pot there while I was pinicing with my kids. I don't want my kids smelling that stuff, but they left quickly after I moved the kids to the ladder.

Big must of you want to drive the fish wild! Bring some fish friendly snacks toss them in at the ladder and just watch em go nuts! I've seen them eat bread, cheese puffs/balls, chips, but pet stores do have fish...

This is an iconic park on the west side of the city. Connected to the historic 6th St Bridge, this is a thin but long park that run along the river. There is also a pedestrian walk way on the bridge as well. There are benches, picnic tables, and even river access for fishing. There are also multiple overlooks to see the view of the city and water. The sidewalk that runs through this park connects to Canal Park as well as the Riverwalk trail through downtown. There are exercise machines along the path and even a restaurant across the street attached to the hotel. There is however, no public restroom...

The park here is gorgeous - very clean and well kept. It is great for running or walking, or having a bite to eat alongside the river. The sixth street bridge is iconic and provides a lot of character to the whole area. You can fish here as well! The location is ideal, with plenty of options for food/drink/alcohol within walking distance. Take your date down here, order carry out from somewhere nearby, and walk down to the park to eat. Go for a walk along the river afterwards and you guys will be...
