Hadn't ordered here in a while but I had almost the exact same experience although this time I waited at the pick up shelf for 8 minutes before being asked who I was there for. And again it had NOT even been started. And as for the response I received last time YOU ADMITTED that you don't consider to go orders a priority. You said they get acknowledged to stop the "dinging" THEN ignored. If I place an order 10 minutes BEFORE I ARRIVE I shouldn't have to wait another 5-10 minutes before my order is even started. Seriously what's the point of a pre order so I can grab and go. I prefer to shop local small businesses but more and more I go to Starbucks or Bigby just so I'm not waiting around.
Yet another business which prioritizes Doordash orders last. I placed a pickup order thru the app as my dash pass earns me rewards. Yet when I arrived 8 minutes AFTER placing it and the app saying it was being prepared IT WASN'T EVEN STARTED. I stood near the pickup shelf for 5 minutes before even being acknowledged. Yet they prepared 5 orders of in store customers 2 of which arrived and ordered AFTER I ARRIVED before even starting my order. So my quick stop turned into an almost 10 minute wait in the store. I'm going to start cancelling orders thru customer service to these small businesses who mark orders as in progress when not even started to block being...
Read moreI work across the street at the construction site so we have been coming here for months. We have to order online because we only get a 15 minute break. Half the time the coffee is not even filled halfway. The other half they dont even bother to mix the syrup at the bottom. It's not every time so I never know if my medium coffee Is going to be a few sips. You guys are charging over 5$ for a cup of coffee. I started to order larges and very seldom are they filled. I feel if you order online your coffee is an afterthought. I can take pictures of how low these cups are. but guys, just fill it up with some milk. I don't have the time to have them remake my drink so it's very annoying when it happens. It's hard to tip because you don't know if your going to get a great coffee that day, that's hot and filled, or half a cup of espresso shots and some syrup at the bottom. Good coffee I just wish I could actually get a cups worth...
Read moreSweetwaters Coffee & Tea proves the adage "looks can be deceiving" right. Located just north of downtown Grand Rapids, it's a beautifully designed coffee shop in a redeveloped apartment building. The high ceilings, open seating, and the mural on the wall are enticing. However, after visiting hundreds of coffee shops around the world, this is the worst one I've been to for coffee.
The menu is large, full of options. I ordered the Dragon Eye, a coffee drink with sweetened condensed milk, and my wife ordered an Americano. When we received both, they tasted like water. I am not exaggerating when I say they didn't taste like coffee. We asked for an additional shot and it did nothing.
They sell a variety of food and we settled on three mini doughnuts. They were dry and not good at all.
If you live nearby, it seems like a fun spot to work, but if you go, maybe order tea. Hopefully it's better than...
