Lookout Park — Attraction in Grand Rapids

A lot of times, cities and nice sunsets don't necessarily go hand in hand. However, Lookout Park makes a nice attempt to flip the script on that. It's a simple park just outside of downtown that overlooks the Grand River valley. As such, the view is pretty spectacular. The only reason I have a hard time giving this park five stars is that unless you're a local that's coming here on foot, finding a place to park your vehicle can be tricky. Like me, you may need to park a block or two away and walk to the park since it does get a bit crowded towards dusk. However, if you arrive fairly early, you may not get just a great view, but a great parking spot...

Great area for taking a rest, getting a Birds Eye view of Grand Rapids, or for watching the sunset. It is however, not really a park, it’s quite small and only consists of a few benches and table & chairs. I do highly recommend it though if you like watching sunsets or skylines, there’s plenty of parking on the street, which is free after 7pm, or in the GRCC parking lot B. The GRCC parking lot is open to the public, but does cost money. There are no stairs anywhere, which makes this a good option for anyone who has a harder time moving. Omg!!! The most beautiful little park sitting on the edge of Grand Rapids with the most amazing views of Grand Rapids, MI. It was an amazing spectacular sunset view, A man sang and played the guitar ,while couples lay down on blankets, kids and families running around and dogs walking. A young couple were painting on a table and gifted my friends daughter her painting. It was is a perfect evening site. Im goin to make a regular spot. The have benches and a swinging chair and...
