A lot of times, cities and nice sunsets don't necessarily go hand in hand. However, Lookout Park makes a nice attempt to flip the script on that. It's a simple park just outside of downtown that overlooks the Grand River valley. As such, the view is pretty spectacular. The only reason I have a hard time giving this park five stars is that unless you're a local that's coming here on foot, finding a place to park your vehicle can be tricky. Like me, you may need to park a block or two away and walk to the park since it does get a bit crowded towards dusk. It is however, not really a park, it’s quite small and only consists of a few benches and table & chairs. I do highly recommend it though if you like watching sunsets or skylines, there’s plenty of parking on the street, which is free after 7pm, or in the GRCC parking lot B. The GRCC parking lot is open to the public, but does cost money. There are no stairs anywhere, which makes this a good option for anyone who has a harder time moving.
