Canal Park — Attraction in Grand Rapids

Great park alongside the Grand River. There's a long bike/walking trail through the park, heading into the Sixth St. Park, right after the historic 6th St. Bridge. There's also a medium-size playground with restrooms nearby. Many picnic tables and benches are available throughout, but no pavilion. There's one in the Sixth St. Park though. Both parks have some outdoor exercise equipment as well. Parking is not free during weekdays.

GR has done an incredible job creating a park for all intents and purposes from Fulton St all the way to Leonard along the East shore of the Grand river with educational information about Grand Rapids in general and our beautiful Grand River...if only peple could realize what is offered and told about Grand Rapids and the river maybe we could find those blue waters from the past that used to flow to our...
