Placed an order, received an email they did not want to honor their listed price and would either cancel my order or charge me another $300. Since I cannot find a way to respond to your response I’ll just edit this. To put it in perspective if I were to quote someone 500 dollars for a job. They pay me. Then it costs me 800 to do the job. I made a mistake I eat the loses. Must be nice not having to honor your word. Wild business practices here.

Hello everyone. i bought milwaukee tool from home depot. Tool has stopped working. I turned to the home depot, they kindly kicked me off. I contacted the Power Tool and they promptly explained to me how to apply for warranty repairs at Milwaukee. I am very grateful to them for their help.

Time is everything in my business. Mitch was quick to greet and walk me to the products I needed. I appreciate his consideration of my time.

Don't waste your time or money. I placed an order for a trimmer/blower set in the beginning of May with an estimated ship date towards the end of May. After that date had come and gone with no updates to my order status on the website or any form of communication, I decided to contact Ohio Power Tool to see what was going on.

I wound up having to call three different times and speaking with three different people. One of the times, I wound up having to leave a voicemail which will come into play later. When I finally spoke with someone, I was told that the set had been very popular, but they were getting a shipment in that day and by Monday (June 5th), the latest, my order would be shipped. I was perfectly OK with this, even though it was almost a week past the original estimated ship date.

About an hour later, I get a call back from a different employee, returning my voicemail. Even though I had already gotten an answer, I figured it wouldn't hurt to get some reaffirmation that my order would be shipping soon. Imagine my surprise when the first thing I am told is "Oh, you ordered the trimmer/blower set - well sorry, but I have no good news on that one." When I asked him to elaborate, I was told that they were still working on fulfilling orders that were placed in the beginning of February and IF I ever saw my order ship, it wouldn't be until FALL!!! All this time, keep in mind that I was told less than an hour prior that my order was shipping "Monday, the latest."

I fully understand that "things happen," and I can accept when an unforeseen situation occurs, but that is clearly not the case. First of all, if the package had been out of stock since February, the item should have been marked "out of stock" on the website, just as the same set was marked on many other websites I checked. At the very least, I should have been contacted at some point within this month long wait and notified that my product was at least not going to ship by the estimated ship date. I mentioned all of this to the associate I spoke with but the outcome was basically "it isn't our fault, nothing we can do." Not even an offer of store credit or any attempt to make things right. To add insult to the situation, I missed out on tons of Memorial Day sales on similar items because I had already ordered this set.

Bottom line - I can deal with things going differently than planned. I cannot deal with a company that takes 0 responsibility for themselves - from not contacting me to inform me of shipping delays/item unavailability to not trying to even offer a simple solution to an obviously mistreated customer. There are many other companies out there that will go above and beyond to keep you happy when they drop the ball, don't enable companies like this to treat paying customers like this and get...

Updated Review: 3 Stars The morning following my initial review, I received a call from the sales manager at Ohio Power Tool. They acknowledged their missteps in handling my case and informed me that they have had conversations with their staff to address the issues I raised.

While this outreach came after Milwaukee had already resolved my problem, I appreciated Ohio Power Tool's willingness to accept their mistake. Their sincerity in wanting to make amends and improve future interactions was evident in our conversation. The sales manager's effort to reach out and address the situation indicates a commitment towards improving their service, which I appreciate.

In light of their effort to address the situation, I've revised my rating from 1 to 3 stars and I'll be willing to give them another opportunity to prove their service. Thank you.

Original Review: 1 Star I left my router with Ohio Power Tool in March for warranty repairs, and what ensued was a spiral of missed calls, ignored messages, and unhelpful trips to the store.

I had to drag out of them in July, after yet another unproductive visit, that Milwaukee had apparently denied the warranty months before (which they failed to tell me during any of many prior calls and visits). Their response to this was not to apologize or offer a resolution, but to try to sell me a new router. This move struck me as a blatant attempt to profit from their own failings.

Determined to find a solution, I reached out directly to Milwaukee. They readily agreed to replace my router at no cost, a stark difference from the service by Ohio Power Tool. Furthermore, I was surprised to learn from Milwaukee that Ohio Power Tool had requested my original router to be scrapped after the warranty claim was rejected. I'm not sure if it's a bit of assigning blame back and forth but only one company was transparent with me and accepted responsibility: Milwaukee.

For those of us who rely on our tools for our livelihoods, such a lack of initiative and integrity from a service provider is unacceptable. Ohio Power Tool showed a complete disregard for customer service, offering nothing more than delay tactics and misleading information.

It's now August and I have only just received my replacement router from Milwaukee. Ohio Power Tool's inaction left me without a crucial tool for my work for an extended period of time, impacting not only my patience but also my work.

Anyone considering Ohio Power Tool should be aware of their apparent lack of responsibility, poor communication, and disregard for their customers' time and needs. It's more than just a question of whether you trust them with your tools—it's about whether you can trust them with your business. Based on my experience, I would urge you to...

UPDATE: 1/17/24: We are star-struck. Nick (see owner response below) saw my review below and realized that someone had dropped the ball. After I sent him everything he requested, my husband received a email from FedEx saying that they were preparing to ship a package from Ohio Power Tools for us. We watched with our jaws dropping as we tracked its shipment. Shortly afterwards, he received an invoice showing that our battery had been upgraded to the more powerful and thus more expensive one—all without extra charge.

Today I received his package and eagerly opened it for him since he is out of town and I knew he would be anxious to see his booty. Oh my goodness! Ohio Power Tools has outdone themselves! In addition to the upgraded battery, a bunch of extra goodies were nestled in the box: two caps, a Lufkin tape measure, a can cozy, and a bunch of Ohio Power Tool stickers to adorn the tools.

Nick, you have certainly earned back our business and then some! Many thanks from me and my elated husband, who (after I forwarded to him a picture of the contents in the box and called him), I heard exclaiming to his co-workers what he had gotten “a bunch of free stuff” from you. You see, his “toys” are his tools and he doesn’t skimp when he buys them. I know that he will definitely check you out first when he needs to buy more.

Everyone who reads this review, this is indeed a testament that Ohio Power Tools is responsive, trustworthy, and reliable. If something happens to your order, all you need to do is let them know, and they’ll make every effort to make it right.

ORIGINAL 2-STAR REVIEW: My husband ordered some tools early December 4, 2023. Later that day, a salesman contacted him to say that they had "oversold" "one or more items" and would "need more time to get it to" him. It is now January 13th, and we have yet to receive the order, despite having been told in our last email conversation that it would be in stock at the very latest the first week of January 2024. This was an item that he needed for his job and we are both very disappointed, especially since our last email to the salesman has gone unanswered. So far they are...
