Sammie's Nifty Thrift Shop — Attraction in Grass Valley

I generally shop here regularly. The store is very easy to shop and navigate, with clothes, furniture, and small items well displayed and organized. There are several dressing rooms, and 2 registers to check out. There are weekly sales of clothing, and monthly 50% off sales for the entire store. I find most of my new/nearly new athletic shoes there, as well as books, dvds, clothing, pet supplies, fabric, and holiday items. This is a friendly, well-run store and I get help when I need it. Sammies thrift was there on opening day! n run by volunteers it became a social browse n chat all who work there r wonderful I have donated plenty n also have spent money on much when bankruptcy foreclosures took over yrs ago many horses n animals were left behind Sammies saved so many they r a true haven for the animals so proceeds r put to good use. low down ...every Wednesday all clothes half off n the first Saturday of the month entire store is half off doors open 10am best to there when they open for best selections see for urself n have fun 10am to 5pm...

Prices are WAAAAAYY too high for a thrift store. They were selling a used old bike for the same price as you can buy it new at Walmart and other places, were selling old used pots and pans for the same price as you can get it brand new in Walmart, the list goes on and on….. Ridiculous prices , really. And staff are pretty unfriendly also. I find an occasional item that is not ridiculously overpriced but that is a very rare occasion.
