This review is an accumulation of all the things that I’ve encountered and I have not and will not be coming back here. When I was 16, I was catcalled by one of the employees there who worked in stocking. He no longer works there but he had always barked at me when I was with my mother, my friend, my nephews, and if I went alone. It was extremely disrespectful and shameless. A few years later, I noticed that a lot of their products on display for sale were expired. I once pointed out expired vegan chicken and tried to return an expired can of candy that I had missed reading at the time of purchase and this woman told me it was the “manufacturing date” when clearly it wasn’t. A guy at the meat section once asked my mom if I was single and I was a minor at the time. He kept asking her when my birthday was so he could wait until I was 18. I haven’t been back because some of the people there make me extremely uncomfortable and just ruined the whole experience for me when I’m just there to grab cilantro or something. Also, some of their products are overpriced. You can get a couple of them for a reduced price at Super G or any other Asian market really, and better...
Read moreThe only reason I return to this store is for the convenience of time and location. BUT must pay attention on what you are buying. There's have been numerous of time where I've purchased items from this store that is in a bad condition. Clams sometimes if lucky you'll get the fresh ones that comes in the bag as is and in the beginning of delivery date, sometimes what don't sale they're probably hand picked and mixes a fews good one and put them together. The fishes are bad too. There's alot of things that aren't good, if you buy jars item same thing. And they are shady with check out too, I had purchased three cans of chicken. Broth and they charge for 4. And e fews times already where tjey over charge me for extra items. Especially if you purchase multiple of same items that's where they normally get you.If you confort them they act like they don't understand you. There's been multiple times I had encountered of purchasing bad items. Alot of the stuff is expired and fresh seafoods are not fresh and are rotten already. I have alot of family and friends complaining too. But they don't really speak or write English that's why not alot of people go on line to...
Read moreOne of two of the largest Asian markets in Greensboro. In the space of what appears to have been a former Lowe's Foods, so that will give you some perspective of it's size. Produce is good quality and well priced. Large live and previously frozen seafood selection. Modest butcher area. Good place to get cross cut pork ribs (riblet style as in dim sum black bean spare ribs).
Facinating large back section with dishes, pots, woks as well as kitchen wares. Cafe is a nice place for a quick bite, I'd order off the menu rather than the steam table for fresher food.
Overall, well done. Could be updated but otherwise one of the best Asian markets in the Triad.
Sure, be nice to have something on the level of the hyper tidy (and expensive) H Mart in Cary but for the Triad, glad for LiMing because sometimes driving to Cary isn't convenient at all.
Update: I think one trip to New York Chinatown in the Summer would help reset folks' unreasonable expectations that this should be a Chinese WholeFoods or EarthFare. That'd be nice, that would require that Cary drive I previously...
