I’m pretty disappointed with my experience here. The charge port on my ThinkPad started giving me problems. Easily researched and diagnosed with the help of the Internet. It appears to be a common problem with these models. The Internet state its a quick fix, but I did not have the materials or tooling for the soldering repair and decided to bring it here.
I brought the laptop to this store and immediately noticed they had multiples of the same laptop in their showroom. I felt good about that choice as I thought they would be well-versed in this. I shared with the technician that I found the charge port to be loose and an intermittent connection. He told me there would be a $50 diagnosis fee and they would have results that day or the next.
The next day they called and said they indeed found the charge port was bad, but they did not have the capability to solder at this store. And the laptop would need to be moved to their Simpsonville store for further evaluation and pricing. They stated it would be at least $150 to repair.
I decided it would be better off, pulling the plug on this venture and taking this somewhere else.
This a pretty basic process that they are lacking. I feel like I paid them $50 to waste my time and tell me what I already know. Replacing charging ports is literally a specific service mentioned on...
Read moreWorst service. They cleaned my hard drive and I had to Buy a new one after three weeks of service $200+. My guess they try to extract data with a machine which send the computer in over drive and it fails. Got it back after spending 260 and my computer had the same issue as before after i got it back. Took it to a computer service down the road. Diagnostic and told me it was a simple memory slot malfunction. Took it back to computer clinic, after waiting a day. I decided to stop by. Then they tried to say it was the mother board $100 + & I have to wait to pick it up even though I denied the service they wanted to provide.I only took it back to see what they would say and they gave me a million other things that was wrong. Why was't that found the first time I wonder. I am now using the same computer they claimed needed their service after just removing the memory card slot that was faulty. The same slot they claimed they checked. I would refer you to a little shop .2 miles down the road. Honest Work at the...
Read moreOmg!! The Tech Store saved my life- figuratively of course. I have an iPhone and the screen stopped working. It would charge, but I couldn’t answer a phone call, access my pics/ videos, or call anyone. When I called Apple, they basically told me my phone was broken. They couldn’t fix it- I’d have to purchase a new one. I bought a new one because I work remote and have to access VPN to work remote. I gave my phone to The Tech Store begging them to help me. I didn’t back up my phone and thought all my Rolling Stones videos from their concerts were gone. Also, I had family pics that weren’t backed up and some of those family members are no longer here. Totally my fault. Good news- The Tech Store performed a miracle!!!! I have my concert videos and family pictures again!!! Grateful doesn’t begin to describe what I’m currently feeling. When they say they can fix anything, by God- they can!!!!! Give them a try! You will not be disappointed. I feel like it’s Christmas...
