Parlor Doughnuts: A Divine Doughnut Experience
Parlor Doughnuts is a hidden gem in Greenville, SC, offering a delightful array of heavenly treats that redefine the doughnut experience. Their "cronuts," a delightful fusion of croissant and doughnut, are nothing short of spectacular.
I indulged in the Blueberry Hill, which was a symphony of flavors. The blueberry icing was a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, complementing the fluffy doughnut base exquisitely. The Strawberry Cheesecake was a work of art, with fresh strawberries adorning a luscious strawberry icing that tasted like pure summer.
The Cookies and Cream doughnut was a delightful surprise, with crushed Oreos adding a delightful crunch to the creamy whipped cream topping. The Chocolate Chocolate was a chocoholic's dream, with rich chocolate icing and chocolate chips that melted in your mouth.
Each doughnut at Parlor Doughnuts is a masterpiece, both in presentation and taste. They are flawlessly cooked, achieving a perfect balance of fluffy and soft textures. What impressed me most was that despite the variety of flavors, none of the doughnuts were overly sweet. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, leaving me craving for more.
Parlor Doughnuts has undoubtedly set the bar high for doughnut perfection. If you're in Greenville and craving a sweet treat, do yourself a favor and visit Parlor Doughnuts. It's an experience that will leave you dreaming of their doughnuts long...
Read moreHORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!! Stay away if you have any type of peanut allergy as the donuts that have peanuts on them are not labeled. My son just got out of the ER from eating their turtle cheesecake donut. When I went to the store to see if I missed the sign, I noticed that there was no sign!! Of course, there is a generic listing of " this facility may use tree nuts, dairy, etc". My son's allergy is ONLY if he actually ingests peanuts. The actual menu for the 3 donuts that do have peanuts on them were not posted as having peanuts. I have never come across a "Turtle cheesecake" that has peanuts. Normally it is pecans, chocolate and caramel. When I talked to the front line manager, she was VERY belligerent, rude and acted like it was my fault that my son went to the ER, and not because their donuts weren't properly labeled. She basically told me to stay away from every place that had peanuts..... duh. As if that's possible. We definitely stay away from food that is PROPERLY labeled as having peanuts. All I was asking was for them to put up a sign that listed the donuts that had actual peanuts on them. The front line manager did not want to do that. This is the worst place for customer service and proper food labeling. The donuts weren't very good either. AWFUL PLACE!! I would give it -100 stars, but that option wasn't available. My next step is reporting this place for being a danger...
Read moreAbove and beyond, this place is great! I feel like this is such a great addition to Laurens Road (way better than if they put it on Woodruff, thank you so much for not putting it on Woodruff). The doughnuts are top notch, consistently 5-stars, perfectly crispy on the outside + soft and fluffy on the inside, aesthetically pleasing to look at in the case, they're like hundreds of pieces of handcrafted art. My go-to fav is the Maple Pecan or a Seasonal, but I don't think you can miss here. The atmosphere is carefully considered, it looks like a great place to hang out (although I've never actually hung out in the dining room). Tiled floors, wood-edged cases, merch if you're looking for merch, they're not cutting corners and it's a strong brand look that says to me 'we do amazing doughnuts and coffee here.' I think the house blend flagship coffee is great, it's not overpowering or acidic and it's just got a nice smooth flavor. They've also got a number of not-so-sweet breakfast items and a whole menu of various latte-style drinks too. Parking is typically super easy whenever I go - it probably gets busy on Saturday mornings - and I think every single time I've gone here I get a great greeting either when I walk through the door or when I'm up to order. I'd totally recommend it - it's either the best doughnut shop in Greenville now, or one...
