I wish I could give 0 stars. I came here with my mom, my fiance, and my fiance's grandma to look for an Indian dress for his grandma to wear to our wedding. We went here first and we were going to go to Sai's boutique afterward. I asked to the lady to measure Grandma just so we can get an idea for her size and the lady said there would be a $5 charge unless we were buying. That's fine but I wasn't planning to buy right away. We had another store to visit before we bought anything. So as we were leaving, she lectures my mom in Hindi so Grandma can't understand her (she is white and only speaks English) about how we were never going to buy anything and we only came to get a free measurement. Why would Grandma drive 1.5 hours to get measured for free? We have a tape measure at home. We were looking to buy a dress, but we didn't want to purchase until we visited the other store first! As a business woman, how do you accuse customers of just wanting free measurements? And the lady is so two faced. She acts nice to my Grandma and then talks trash in Hindi right in front of her so she can't understand. Incredibly rude!!!
I was going to bring my bridesmaids here to buy their dresses. I was also going to buy my nephew's outfit here, plus shoes and a purse. Now I would rather go to Sai's Boutique. The owner is much nicer and she measured my grandma without complaints. Avoid this place!!!
Edit after owner's response: We were planning to buy. Of course you have to try on dresses before you buy. We didn't find anything we were looking for. We wanted the measurements to look for the proper size. We wanted to look at other stores before we purchased anything. And I am not arguing about the $5 charge. If that's your policy, that's fine. All I am saying is that you accused us of wanting to get a free measurement. Also we do not speak Hindi. We speak Bengali. You started lecturing my mom in Hindi first. My mom only knows some Hindi and she would not have talked to you in Hindi first. Not only do you accuse your customers, you also lie. That is not ok. Also we did not purchase anything from Sai's Boutique yet. She took Grandma's measurements so she could inquire about the churidar in her size. We didn't pay anything for the...
Read moreWhat a great little shop! Very colorful obviously. Gets crowded quick but her service is also quick. I've never shopped for an Indian outfit before. First time coming here, I went with my fiance. It was a bit of a wreck because I actually wasn't coming for myself. We came to get my fiance a matching outfit to go with a dress I had already picked out. Instead, only thing we purchased was a $500 wedding dress... Next day I messaged her that I wanted to change the dress because that particular dress can only be worn one time. So I came back the following weekend with my mother. Returned the duppata and picked a new outfit. My mother also got herself an outfit for my wedding. We got a few scarves for a few ladies in my family to wear. Although one scarf, the jewels are falling off. So I have been collecting them off the floor and have to superglue them. Other than this, it's a really nice store. Apart from clothes, they also have jewelry, shoes, decorations, and things to use for traditional indian weddings. We will keep coming back for more outfits. And possibly some jewelry. Also a heads up if you didn't know this.. She can take your body measurement and send your outfit to a tailor to get it properly sized which is very very nice. I was actually concerned before getting any clothes here because I have a very large chest. It was very cool and I can't wait to see my wedding dress in a...
Read moreThe worst experience. Lady was so rude and instead of helping she started body shaming saying there was no sizes available. Even though I saw plenty of sizes. She also had an attitude the whole time. Since I can’t reply to your comment I would like to say I was informed about your maximize size but you don’t have the right to tell me what will fit my body. I have bought plenty of ready made outfits that do fit and I’m aware of what my size is. You coming in and saying I wouldn’t fit something when you don’t know what my size is very out of pocket. Obviously you remembered me and instead being professional about it you keep mentioning how it won’t fit me. I did not try anything on and you don’t know my size to make assumptions. I know what will fit me and what won’t. You have no right to comment about my body. I also did not ask you to sew me an outfit so your comment about that was very unnecessary. Nobody was taking up your time as well. We simply...
