99 Ranch Market — Attraction in Hacienda Heights

I love the 99 Ranch Market. But the staff at this location is horrible. I understand that we are currently in a pandemic and public safety requires face mask. Half of the face mask people are using right now is useless. I saw a lot of people without gloves and touching things and putting them back. When we entered the store, an employee was kind enough to whip down and clean the cart i was about to use for my shopping. HE did not in any way shape or form tried to stop me. I can assure you that plenty of employees working there saw me without masks and did not say or do anything. I was in this store for an hour walking around looking for groceries just like I would at any other grocery store. Just before I finished looking around the store I was finally ready to go and purchase my groceries. A man from store and asked if I had a mask and I said no, I'm sorry I dont and I was let in without a mask. And he just walked away. A second person came along and asked the same thing. I told him that I didn't have mask and if I did require a mask then why was I let in without a mask. Mind you I was in this store for one hour. Then a lady comes and started to say something to me and I did not understand a word she said. But I understood was that I could not purchase the items I picked out with my bare hands. Items that had been in my cart for an hour. Now, I don't think this lady who took my items that I picked with my bare hands is going to throw away those items. I believe she is going to place them back on the shelves for other people to pick from the shelves. I'm not saying I may be contaminated but she is going to restock items that were touched by me, a person whom didn't wear a mask and gloves for and hour in the store. I am not happy with the staff from this location. A lot of people were not practicing social distancing and I didn't see them get removed from the store like i did and I do not appreciate it because it was unnecessary. my bestie and her husband used to live by here so we went things sometimmes to get dinner. They introduced me to alot of foods/ items I otherwise wouldn't have tried on my own. some things I liked was the salmon sashimi, unagi 🍣, like things beyond Cali rolls. also dried pork condiment to add for flavor and different sauces . my favorite aisle is the household aisle cuz they have cute chopsticks 🥢 and ramen bowls and other cheap things. They also have good teas genmi cha and and frozen gyoza all kinds of noodles. All the ingredients you need to try and make the popular dishes out there. These stores are good for those that love Asian cuisine . The place is a lil rundown outside and inside needs a remodel but still it's one of the better...

Great produce and deli section, 5 star experience except for something bizarre. For the last month, they've been playing country music. Not just regular country which is beautiful, but bible-thumping dudes with heavy drawls singing about their lady folk and the good ol' days kind of country. I thought it was an aberration at first, but now that it's been awhile, it's enough for me to take my business to 168 or the 99 Ranch on Nogales and that one's had reported Covid cases.
