Little Skewer — Restaurant in La Puente

I had the pleasure of dining at Little Skewer, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of elegance and comfort.

The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring our needs were met throughout the evening.

As for the food, it was nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The skewers, in particular, were a standout, with their perfect balance of textures and taste. The ingredients were fresh, and the culinary creativity shone through in every bite.

The drink selection was equally impressive, offering a great variety of wines and cocktails that perfectly complemented our meal.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - good food overall. We ordered beef belly, lamb, pork intestines, king oyster mushrooms, and chicken wings. The chicken wings are amazing! Nicely seasoned and very moist; probably the best item we ate. The mushrooms are good but the earthiness is completely covered by the seasoning so not our favorite. Beef belly was a bit bland, the lamb was mostly seasoning but delicious, and the pork intestine was great.

Ambiance: 5/5 - very quiet during lunch hour in the spacious restaurant. The two chairs are the exact size of the table so it's fairly difficult to push in and out of your seat if you're shifted either direction.

Service: 3/5 - server definitely felt like she didn't want to be there. The table next to us asked for their candles to be lit so the food stayed warmer and she gave a heavy sigh before walking away to get the lighter. When she delivered the skewers, she threw it on the plate without a word then walked away immediately.

Value for price: 4/5 - yummy food in general, service was quick but cold, and...

This was just like the location in Diamond Bar! This place seemed to be a bit smaller, but the decor is the same. My experience was pretty good, as the waitress was extremely nice and helpful. You can make a special request for example if your kids cannot handle all the herbs, and would just like salt sprinkled on the beef skewers! They seemed to not have everything in stock as I was looking forward to eating the Liang Pi.

Like I mentioned everything was pretty much like the other location, I just wished that the skewers would be kept more hot. The beef is a good deal, chicken cartilage and the king mushroom is some of my favorites. The rice bowls were pretty generous, and the hot pot we had was nice to have a change of taste and some more vegetables.

This is a bit more further so I would probably visit back the other location unless I am in the area craving for this. There is plenty of parking and the remodeling they are doing to this plaza really does make it look...
