This was my second time at Hair & Scalp Spa but my first time at the Hacienda location and this might be my new go to location even if it’s a bit further! I knew I would have another great experience at Hair & Scalp Spa but didn’t think I would enjoy my experience even more than the first time!
The spa is located in a pretty busy plaza (ie 85 Degrees Bakery, Daiso, Delicious Food Corner, etc) but there is plenty of parking. It’s also closer to the side with the 168 market. Upon walking in, this location is definitely more “updated” than the Temple City location. It felt more like a typical spa and I was offered tea/water upon arrival. I was then taken to get my scalp analyzed and was given a much more thorough analysis than the first time. I learned that my scalp is actually quite healthy and produced excess sebum that could be better regulated by more frequent hair washes / combing my hair every day. Because of my scalp condition, I was recommended to have the Classic Scalp Treatment.
I was then taken to a room where I was given a silk top to change into and then the treatment began! It started off with a head and shoulder massage and then my hair was treated with 3 types of herbal tea. Each one smelled amazing and my favorite part had to be when my hair was soaked in a bucket. They then shampoo and condition your hair. Afterwards they blow dry your hair, give you another scalp analysis so you can see the difference, and treat your hair with a hair oil, antibacterial scalp liquid that is cooling, and comb through your high frequency comb.
Once again, I left Hair&Scalp Spa totally refreshed and with such shiny, smooth hair! I definitely can’t wait to come back. The best part of booking an appointment now is that they’re currently running a lot of holiday promotions on spa packages but also on their products! I was able to take home 2 full sized bottles of the shampoo used during my treatment for $68 and also bought the travel kit of products that included the shampoo, cooling scalp liquid, and the hair oil for $34. Gift yourself or your loved ones a trip here this...

My hair has been rather dry and lackluster lately due to the summer weather. I've been hearing great things about the benefits of scalp massages and was encouraged to try one out to see if it would help by my stylist. Since I find myself in the 626 area often for good Asian food, I decided to check this place out. They recently opened and have really good promotions, considering their treatments are longer and include more services than other places I researched.
I didn't know what to expect and was honestly a bit nervous, but the staff immediately made me feel at ease. They performed a scalp analysis on me and asked me different questions about my lifestyle, if I have problems sleeping, my hair type, etc. Afterwards, they thoroughly reviewed all the different treatment options, pricing and benefits. I ended up selecting the 90-minute scalp treatment, which was well worth every penny! I had the sweetest stylist and she was so gentle, soft-spoken and truly made me feel at ease.
At the end of the treatment, my hair felt super clean and incredibly soft, which I really credit to their proprietary Chinese herbal "soup" that they use to wash your hair. I was so impressed that I immediately spoke to the front desk about booking another appointment! Even weeks later, my hair has never looked better and the roots are so much healthier, more shiny and less frizzy! I am definitely adding scalp massages as a recurring part of my...
